Yeah definitely need a "tactical retreat" kind of in-game message to be 100% clear. Another one that would be helpful is "flank" to indicate that we should go in different directions to attack a mech from different sides.

As a fun aside, on rare occasions a teammate and I are thinking alike and we can sense that we are thinking alike, and we give a thumbs up to each other to indicate that we are thinking alike (without actually knowing for sure what the other is thinking of course :-) ). Those are fun moments when they somehow work out.

Definitely, I'd like a few more options for what I can shout out since there's no other communication. Shooting at me, half the time i dont know if I'm supposed to advance or to stop advancing. Wth time Im starting to figure out how to play teammate with each mech.

Also, you should be able to customize the voice. Have a handful of male and female voices to choose from.

Just get a chat in match. It may cost time typing so add a longer delay before starting the match, allowing players to coordinate before hand. 

Let players use that function after the match has started too. There are so many times I've had a seeker lock on and I use the help and cover me signals but teammates just don't get it.
