This is all the "customer service" people are allowed to say apparently.

So I sent in some questions to support, and this is how they answered. These are almost the exact responses I have read when I started playing about 10 to 11 months ago now. I know the "customer service" people can only do so much when the developers hide behind them, so it isn't their fault. But once again, it's saying stuff without really saying anything about the problems. At least this time they admitted these are problems.

Hi!
Thanks for your reply.

We understand your concerns and want to address each point in a clear and concise manner.

Mods on 3–5 Star Mechs
We are aware that early access to mods on lower-star mechs can create an
imbalance, and our developers have taken note of the community's
feedback. While there’s no immediate fix, the team is actively reviewing
mod availability and progression to make it more balanced for all
players.

Beginning and Mid-Tier Players vs. End-Game Mechs
We understand how frustrating it is to face legendary Mechs as a
lower-tier player. This is a known issue with matchmaking, and the team
is working on adjustments to ensure players are more fairly matched
based on hangar power, progression, and mech tier.

Hangar Showdown Imbalance
You’re correct, using Mech Rank alone doesn’t fully account for Mech
capabilities. Developers are monitoring Hangar Showdown balance and
testing ways to reduce the impact of highly specialized or end-game
Mechs in small team battles. This includes improving matchmaking logic
and evaluating mech-specific advantages.

Power Levels of Mechs and Weapons
We acknowledge that some fully maxed epic Mechs can feel stronger than
certain legendary Mechs, and this can be confusing. Our team is
reviewing power scaling across mechs and weapons to make the system more
logical and balanced for all players.

(this last part I guess they can't read as i asked about inventory power, not hanger power)
Matchmaking Against Higher Hangar Power
We understand that facing opponents with significantly higher hangar power
can feel unfair. Matchmaking currently factors in several elements, but
extreme gaps can still occur. Developers are actively working on
improvements to reduce such mismatches and make games feel more
competitiv

thats because there is no actual customer service, you're getting BOT responses.  Plus, it looks like most of your gripes are about the matchmaking imbalance, which they have no intention of changing.  the Whales gotta eat.

Hello! We don't use bots in both Community Management and Customer Support.

Exactly. It's frustrating when the responses are just recycled non-answers from nearly a year ago. Admitting the problems is a small step, but we need real action and solutions.

Inventory power is a meaningless factor in matchmaking. Matching up against an opponent who has much more stuff than you isn't going to make a difference unless they can use all of their stuff against you, which they can't

But I bet you do have example responses for your team and that's why so many of them are generic

When you have more to choose from with a higher inventory power, you are able to set up a hanger that is better then someone with a lower inventory power. With how messed up their power numbers are, inventory power is a huge factor. Just looking at my inventoy power of a little under 12k right now. I have seen hangers that are entirely made of legendary mechs at and lower then mine. I have no legendary mechs right now, though I will have some shortly. And while they might have the same power levels as me, they are overpowered compared to me. So, because of the power numbers being that off, we need to go by inventory levels as well. How is it fair to let people that have endgame inventories to still play against mid levels players? Even when I had 7k and lower inventory power, I had to go against players with 50k and higher. How is that fair to me? If anything, inventory power needs to be used to set up your bracket pool of players. The only people that are against it are the ones that bought everything and don't really have the skill to play against other with similar numbers.

If it was based on inventory power people could very easily exploit that system on new accounts just buy one really strong mech and be put up against people who unloc several weaker ones. Your ability to set up a strong hangar is not based on your total inventory power versus what you have in your inventory. Matchmaking needs stronger safeguards that plarium will never implement because if defeats the purpose of paid players stomping f2ps to pressure them to convert

And people don't do that already??? I never said it should only be based on inventory power, but it should be included.

I think an advanced analysis of the player's hangar to determine where they should match. Maybe an inventory power factor is something to try if they haven't already

It’s quite frustrating to receive repeated responses that don’t truly address the concerns. While it’s good they acknowledged the issues,  clearer solutions and more transparency would make a real difference.

This is all the 'customer service' people are allowed to say apparently 😅 Even asking something simple like what do the eyes mean on Snapchat story gets you a copy-paste script instead o f a real answer. Companies really need to train reps better!

well the inventory power would not solve everything.. i may have high inventory power because in last two months somehow i got tons of new mechs and some weapons but it does not mean much as i cant use 10 mechs, i can only use 5 and having extra weapons does not let me equip them in 3rd and 4th hand..

Truth is because i was saving for ECR crates i stopped upgrading everything which means i have tons of mechs and weapons at 3-4 stars levels and they are going nowhere..

So i have 26k inventory and any pay2win player would easily have just 10-15k with best mechs and weapons maxed out..

So your ideas about inventory power mattering is really just a dust coming out of lost souls and desperation not a solution to any of the problems. When you suggest something you need to think it thoroughly or you will all start crying as soon as they implement it.

If you have been on the boards for even a little bit, you will see that I never said that inventory power would fix everything by itself, not by a long shot. Not sure why people always run to the excuse to say the IP doesn't matter and discard my take without even reading everything I have said.

And I guess since you are starting personal attacks, if the IP was taken into account, you would never win, so you are mad. Plus, you make up in your mind what I have said without thinking first about everything I have written, though I guess reading is hard for some.

there is nothing personal, its pure logic, i dont even remember who said what, im just trying to protect us all even though i know they dont care what we are saying here, but just in case.

I agree that IP often matters, but if you start highlighting how much it should matter and somehow if they listen to your opinion then tomorrow you will be matched against maxed out pay to win players as their inventory power is tipically lower than of an old veteran player as they know exactly what they are buying, they dont need anything else.

I think even without this logic Inventory Power should not be considered, there are other factors which would be a lot bigger differentiators for matchmaking, IP is just something you can see and have a reason to moan about.

It’s frustrating when customer service responses feel scripted and don’t actually address the issue. A more personalized approach would make a huge difference. I had a similar experience while searching for equinox locations , and finding clear information upfront saved me a lot of time. Hopefully, companies continue improving both their support and communication.

My comments have been pure logic. I talk about what I see and how it could help. It's fine when others want to say their reasoning on why they think it's wrong, but I get people full on attacking me sometimes and they never offer a logical reason against it. I have never said that IP should be the main thing for matchmaking, but it needs to be considered. Take a look at the top 10 for the season. Over half of them have decent IP account, yet they play squads at 2k and under. IP is kind of like a level in a RPG. Yes, that is SP dropping or tanking or whatever each person wants to consider it. But if those high IP with the low SP has to face others in that same range of both, it would help fix the game quite a bit right now.

Likewise there are new players who use promo codes to get some TOP SP dropper mech and then use 4 promo codes to buy ECR crate overpowered weapons and have 2k hangar with 2k IP and also get into those top500.. so in short, there are a lot of huge IP players in top500, but there are a lot of low IP players too and for the group outside of top500 the fact that their IP is high did not get them into top500.. which is indicator that you can be in top500 with both high or low IP it does not matter. So while it is much easier to equip top mech and top weapon to SP drop if you already have them in your Inventory it does not mean that everybody does that..

It's like start complaining that you were put against player with ID 00000062 and you are ID 94357262, surely that 00000062 VETERAN player had a bit of upper hand and must be much stronger than you if he started playing right at the moment of game creation. But it does not really guarantee anything. It makes sense though, doesnt it? He was here for so long that he is surely stronger. Lets do matchmaking according to ID numbers!

That's really good. The game also needs to look at how old an account is, so that newly-joined players can truly enjoy the game without having to worry against players who have stronger gear.

The problems with matchmaking started to increase after ppl reach a certain XP, which unlocks ECR gambling. A newly joined player might have their first ECR but they usually get matched against players who maight have spent on 5-8 ECRs. Promo codes of very strong mechs shouldn't have been made in the first place., because that does more trouble than help. Mechs like Surge, Blockhorn, Blizzfrost and Lacewing make newly-joined players much stronger than they actually should be, so they end up facing Geminis, Strike Rockets and Quashers at matches. As new players it's very frustrating to be defeated by such Overpowered weapons.

Finally, IMHO; There shouldn't be ECRs for legendary gear till you reach Seasonal Divisions, and new players should not be given overpowered Legendary stuff via promo-codes. Implementing both of these resolves matchmaking skews to a great extent (though I can't guarantee that implementing these stemps will result in a 100% resolution, but I can say for sure that it can make significant improvements in the game.)
