The joke is that they made the matchmaking and leagues based on total number of stars (combined mech rank), which is so obviously prone to a new kind of SP dropping. I play in league 2 and sometimes go up against hangars that have three fully upgraded 6-star mechs (plus one 3-star and one two-star). My hangar usually stands no chance against such opponents.

To rub salt in the wounds the game will sometimes match you against the same uber opponent twice or thrice in a row. These days if I have time I stop playing for a while in the hope that when I pick up again there would be new players online to match with me. 

A half a chance with HS sounds great to me (as it's quite logical that you can either win or lose, kinda honest), and it's really sad that this time the opponents were way too strong for you. The Mode is still under development, so more Matchmaking updates are in work.

Under development, but obviously not high on the list because there appears to be some simple potential improvements. 

Such as, tier 1 requires 24 stars and incorporates mods. Well you can have 5 mechs each 5 stars and you are in with no mods. I have 4 mechs 5 stars, one with 6, so I have mods on 1.

Increasing the star minimum would help level out the top tier. But really, they should consider your top 3 mechs, not all 5, and perhaps instead of stars, add up the energy capacity to seperate tiers.

Even though I'm basically bait in tier 1, the x5 points for a win means I still gain more rewards than tier 2. I don't really like that lower tiers equals fewer rewards.

How do you all even play this mode? It's not even worth wasting the time on the 5 free extremely low chances to win (it's set up to get you to buy more tickets for acoins).. I'd do better if it were just me against 2 others than I do with the commo and uncommon mech and weapon league 3 teammates you give me in league 2 so I stand no chance and just waste time for some whale to get resources they don't need, The Same Damn Resources We Need To Be Competitive In These Killer Whale Infested Matches. Losing to Eclipse, dreadknot, surge enemies while my teammate spawns Paragon, puma, slingshot and m.d. with rpgs, shotgun 4s, pulse cannons and other common and uncommon weapons that can't even damage the enemy if they even survive long enough to push the fire button once. Why does everything have to feel like its a joke being played instead of a competitive game being played? Jokes on us, and it's an expensive one.
