Strange Storm Rack 6 vs 8 vs 10 damage progression

Is the following intended?

Storm Rack 6, Rank 5, Level 1: 5967 DMG per shot

Storm Rack 8, Rank 5, Level 1: 5304 DMG per shot

Storm Rack 10, Rank 5, Level 1: 6631 DMG per shot

(values taken from the in game listing)

So I can upgrade my Lacewing from rank 3 to rank 4, get 430 instead of 278 power rating (thus harder opponents), can equip 2x Storm Rack 8 instead of my currently used Storm Rack 6 and end up with less damage output?

Also for the Storm Rack 10 I would expect about 10/6*5967=9945 DMG per shot.

I did only make a quick check but for other weapons like Viper or Overdriver the damage output seems to be proportional to the energy (2x6 has about the same damage as 1x12).

Is this intended for the Storm Racks? If yes: why? If no: will you fix it?

The game frequently implements damage modifiers for weapons. The current ones include a 50% damage boost for storm rack 6 (among other weapons). So its usual damage is 2/3rds of what you see in the stats.

Aaah thanks for pointing me to this. I did not expect these modifiers do also change the stats shown in the weapon tables.

Including these perfectly balances everything again. Thanks, upgrading my Lacewing is on the roadmap again :)

:-)

By the way, Storm rack 10 is for credits. I don't know your purchasing power, in either real or game currency, but if you need 16 capacity storm racks, then doing 6+10 is cheaper in game currency than an 8+8 pair (the latter needs acoins).

Storm rack 16 (later tier) is also available for credits.
