Hangar Showdown has just been released in Mech Arena and, obviously, there were plenty of questions regarding this feature. We've gathered the most popular ones and answered them all in one place. Check out this article and let us know if you found it useful!
1. Why were 2v2 Matches removed?
One of our main focuses with Hangar Showdown was matching you against other players. We removed 2v2 Deathmatch to increase the chances of this.
2. Will 2v2 Matches be back?
At the moment, there are no plans to bring 2v2 Deathmatches back. However, we will continue to monitor the situation.
3. Will it be possible to battle with friends in Hangar Showdown?
We’re currently exploring the possibility of playing Hangar Showdown with friends and we’re conducting tests for future implementation. However, adding this opportunity presents several challenges in terms of matchmaking and other gameplay considerations, which we will need to overcome.
4. Why are people from different Leagues being matched together?
As Hangar Showdown is still in beta, we are still actively refining the matchmaking system. We are gathering feedback from the battles and will make adjustments accordingly to ensure a balanced experience for all players.
5. How are Leagues determined?
The League you are placed in is based on the Grades of your Mechs and the number of Rank Stars they have. You can progress through the Leagues by increasing the number of Mech Rank Stars in your Squad, or by obtaining higher Grade Mechs.
6. Which Mechs work best in Hangar Showdown?
The key ingredient for success in Hangar Showdown is to adapt to the situation, Map, and team. There are no specific Mechs which work best for this - it’s about creating synergy with your ally and playing to your own strengths. A varied Hangar can allow you to pick the right Mechs for the right moment.
7. What’s your biggest tip for Hangar Showdown?
Experiment with different combinations! In this Mode, all content performs at its Max Rank or Level during battle. It gives you a unique chance to discover new builds and try out other playstyles.
8. Are you planning on changing the number of free battles?
We're still analyzing the data. After the results of the beta period, we will re-evaluate the number of free battles while we undergo a thorough review of Hangar Showdown to ensure things remain balanced.
9. Will we still have 2v2-based Events with 100 A-Coins as the main Prize as it was before?
To ensure a seamless transition to the new Mode, the regular Monday 2v2 Events will be temporarily replaced by a similar one. This new Event will maintain the same schedule and offer comparable rewards, including A-Coins. This change is planned for the next one to two months, with the schedule subject to various factors.
Before a round starts there is very little time to assess your opponents so that you know which mechs and weapons they have and also the weapon power. You have to be super quick to weigh things up and therefore often miss something crucial.
Matchmaking, as you have intimated, is awful right now. 6 + 4 DOES NOT EQUAL 5 + 9
is that not quite simple?
It often happens that the result of the battle is: 0kill,0kill vs 6kill,0kill, meaning that only one player wins the battle. The situation is similar in tournament battles. One player has 20-30 kills, and the others have almost none. If this imbalance were eliminated, it would greatly increase the enjoyment of the game. (Google transl.😅)
I like this mucho and the only unbalanced aspect about this feature would be the level of mods aplied If there are any to begin with. My suggestion would be just for the battles install max mods on mechs without and it will do 2 things in my opinion equalize the odds as well as preview to the user that doesn't have those mods the importance of having those mods which will capitalize your revenue lol.
tyou for the o a and platform
No, I think it was a mistake to eliminate 2v2. It would have been better to leave it in and add the new mode. This would certainly have enriched the game as a whole. The new mode is a good start, but removing the normal 2v2 was a mistake for me. In my opinion, you should listen and talk to the players more often. It would certainly help you develop a good game with a lot of potential, and it would certainly further reward the players who often aren't listened to. I take this opportunity to wish everyone a good day and happy gaming.
Question 6: Actually yes, put revokers on surge/eclipse/nomad and you will crush your opponents. No matter their mechs. No matter the map. These particular mechs WILL dominate the match using the broken weapon that plarium earned a lot of money from. You better fix this issue in matchmaking or your new mode is gonna be devoid of f2p players.
