🤓 We’ve had some questions from you about Mods - a feature that allows you to strengthen your Mechs with some extra protection from enemy damage.
In this post, you’ll find answers to the most frequently asked ones ✅
❓ What is the requirement for unlocking Mods as a feature?
You need to reach 30,000 XP to unlock the Mods feature.
❓ What Rank do my Mechs need to be?
Your Mechs to reach Rank 6 before you can install Mods on them. Our bot population follows the same requirements.
❓ At the time of the Mods launch in summer 2024, the feature was unlocked earlier for Mechs - at Rank 3. Is that true?
That’s correct! However, since launching Mods, we’ve closely monitored their impact in the Arena and listened to your feedback. After a short while we recognized that the feature was a better fit for more experienced players. On November 13, 2024, we updated the requirements (30,000 XP + Rank 6 Mech).
❓ Then why can I still encounter players with the newest Mechs that have Mods equipped at Rank 3?
If the player unlocked the Mods feature before the change (i.e. November 13, 2024), their Inventory and Mods requirements remained unchanged for all Mechs, including future releases.

Dear Plarium,
Let me try again:
Allowing your older players to use MODs on Mechs below rank 6 is unfair, unintuitive and widens a huge gab between newer and older players.
You may think you force players to spend and get to rank 6 quickly, but most of the newer players will simply decide to quit when they reach midgame and your early bots-heaven is in the past.
It would simply be in your best interest to treat everyone the same and not have a whole system as impactful as MODs be the deciding factor for most of your content.
Grinding through gear hub and advancing your hangar can be the most satisfying thing - do not keep destroying this natural gameplay by horrendous treatment of all new players, who are the ones who would potentially have the most reason and "room" to spend.
Open mods up again or better - restrict them to either only the 30k xp or the rank 6 mechs for everyone not just new Players.
Account age as reasoning, to treat players as second class and let them get farmed by MODified older players, is simply a bad decision if you want a healthy playerbase that doesnt naturally shrink to nothing.
Thank you very much.
Dear Devs,
In my sincerest regards please add mods for lower sp brackets or atleast mechs starting at 4 stars since rank 4mechs are a decent investment and doesn't let new player buy mods for mechs that won't be very good longterm. Without mods the meta is still one weapons like it earlier used to be and 2v2s and 1v1s are like a guaranteed loss to those who joined newly into the game due to earlier players heavily investing into mods. Commiting to rank 6 mech takes up a lot of resources and additional to that commiting to ranking up legendary mods take a lot of investment too, by the time the players can do so it alr too late and its a very different gameplay as to many would not be accustomed. So, i would request the devs to add back the feature keeping the point in mind I mentioned above.
Thank you
Please make them more accessable people with mods are too op so make them accessable in 3 stars again if it is not changed then the games goal is just to get mods and stop playing after getting it JUST MAKE IT MORE ACCESABLE AND FAIR YOU ARE A GOOD GAME COMPANY ARENT YOU IF YES PLEASE CHANGE IT
The major issue I've seen with the new Mods deal, is that there are many old players who now purposely do not advance certain mechs with mods and keep them there in order to have a hanger set up to cheat the new system with their stagnant level mechs with mods Vs newer accounts who can't obtain mods Yet. The result is that they play newer accounts that are inexperienced players with low SP ranks that cant get mods yet due to the mech rank restrictions they have, but the other older player doesn't. This is a massive advantage they are abusing to win trials, playoffs, or just a higher season rank. Making it extremely hard for players who don't abuse and cheat the system to have a competitive and fair chance at prizes and earnings. Players who had these Mods before the new rule fairly should have kept the ones they had at the time, I agree with that. However theyshouldn't have been allowed to obtain more until the new rank 6 requirement was met for future mods. This could and should have been fixed this way to discourage those who cheat and unfairly use SP drop hangers to farm points away from new inexperienced players. Instead it encourages them to cheat by giving them another advantage that is unobtainable by those lower ranks they target for their unfair system cheating used to strip prizes away from those who correctly and honestly use your system. SP dropping a hanger to play newer players shouldn't be possible, once you rank up your gear hub level, you shouldn't be able to battle players who are more than 1 hub level lower then your current level. A person with hub level 7 unlocked shouldn't be able to play a newer player with only hub level 4 unlocked. As the older player will play them with a old saved load out that's been unchanged for a year, usually made up of a legendary mech with mods and a legendary weapon of low enough rank, and then a bunch of low their mechs with only a few multi layered mods needed in order to have a massive advantage in battle. All of which new players can't counter in battle or even obtain if they wanted at that rank and tier. No 6 star rank mech, no Mods for ANYBODY, should be the fair rule used. Lastly as I shouldn't need to say but will, please please please do something to stop these SP dropping cheaters, it's so bad half of the top 500 in season abuse it bad. Literally half of the top players are just cheaters, that are basically hiring NFL players to play on their peewee football team as a analogy. Same deal, same deal.
Hello Platinum, Regarding the new regulation for using mods on mechs, which requires reaching 6 stars, I feel it's very unfair if it only applies to new players, while existing players can already access the feature on their 3-star mechs. My suggestion is that the mod feature should be available to players with 50,000 EXP or higher with a minimum 4-star mech, but the mod level can be upgraded periodically. For example, a 4-star mech can only use mods with a maximum level of 2, and after reaching 5 stars, mods up to level 4 can be accessed, and so on. I think that's fairer than requiring players to have a 6-star mech first. Thank you, I hope my suggestions and criticisms are heard.Hallo platinum,
This doesn't make sense. Getting 6 stars demands too much from the player. If the player created the account in November 2024 and stopped playing for a while and came back now, what difference in experience do they have? This only causes unevenness in battles, where you have to hit the player with mods three times to have a chance, and this is very discouraging. If you cared even the slightest about the players from late 2024 to the present day, you would reduce this absurd requirement to 4 or 5 stars. Because 6 stars is too much, it's too much of a sacrifice to level up like that, even if you pay! The feeling is that you don't care about new players and are trying to keep the old ones by giving them abusive advantages to stay in the game.
