The point of being able to change your presets on the fly would assume you are matching with roughly equal power hangers and you select the one that's most optimum for the map you're on.

Just how the heck do you expect them to handle the matchmaking so that your wants are satisfied? Because you can't have it based on the lower power hanger then you're just able to select the larger hanger and squash your opponents who are all weaker. And the same is true for an average between them. That was the entire problem with matchmaking in the first place.

Actually in my experience (and this might not be the same as everyone else's) my two hangars with significantly different SPs did not interfere with each other. It's certainly possible for Plarium to do the matchmaking entirely based on the active hangar. And it's possible for us now to pick a hangar on the fly. I just ask for a combination of the two. Hopefully that's not unreasonable. 

What? No. That's exactly like having matchmaking based on the lower hanger power.

"Hey devs give us a matchmaking system that lets us seal club harder"

By active hangar I meant the one actually in use. So matchmaking based on my 5k hangar when that is chosen, and with my 10k hangar when that is chosen.

The fact that people use lower hangars to SP drop is a different problem. Maybe they'll never fix it, but me personally .. I like to change things up instead of using only my top mechs all the time. This means running lower SP hangars, but legitimate ones.. balanced ones. You're not wrong about your concern, but neither am I about my desire to enjoy the full extent of the game.

This is my thoughts why this good for nothing update was for. Your all right in parts of ypur post.  But this hangar pick before the match deal. Was and is the Dev's way of useing it as a distraction to keep us from asking to fix there F***ing matchmaking . So they figured that was going to work. Yes it did work . But not for the f2p and midgamers. Because we are no matter what the hangar SP is in or even pick. MatchMaking stood the same for the Dev's . And to them it's UnBroken and working Fine  was fixed and untouched. And this is what CrstalDrew was talking about and reassuring us to believe in him when he says that good things are going to happen. This update all it did for me was leave a bad taste in my mouth just for saying His name and mech arena in the same sentence.. This prove's it to not just me but to the communite That Crstal Drew's words are worthy to be untrue.... Disgraceful . No wait that to good of a word to throw away like that. Pitiful ... Yes that sounds right Pitiful. read it with my own eye's  and gave it the benefits of the doubt... 

We don't know yet if this is the big matchmaking fix that CD has been talking about, since he hasn't said anything on the topic. Some folks suspect that it is (understandably so), but I hope it isn't.

It's just a first step.

Ok, so I've seen you aluding to this several times today.  What do you mean?  When do we get the rest of the update?  What is in it?

Saying you are releasing something and then turning around and saying it's only partially released is a terrible way to do business.  This "we only gave you part of it, but we are not going to tell you which part or what parts remain" is the way someone talks to someone else when they screwed up and don't want to admit it.  Give us some more info so we can understand and so you can build trust with us again.  Otherwise this is more of the same old "we're working on it" stuff we've been hearing for YEARS.

The summer is almost over and yet this is the update we got. But theres no problem getting more weapons and more mech. But the fix oo matchmaking nothing but a hangar change out before the match begins. Thats all we are getting this summer the first step to a rewind of nothing. 

And as for you tar . you must be one of the staff/team at Plarium Or a happy that this update happen . Because your a possible Drop Hangar A.K.A. SP Dropers. And If I'm wrong that I accept that I'm wrong.. Never since I've been posting and commenting.. ( I don't know if that a real word at this moment ) Have I ever seen anyone backing Plarium for what they ( haven't ) done. But nobody ever give's Crystal Drew props for everything he gets from us. I respect the dude for taking everything we hit him up with and everyone is always raining down on C.D. good or bad. I respect that dude for putting up with all of our crap that we throw at him. But dont get me wrong . I don't agree with alot and most of the replys we get from our feedback. So lets do him a favor and give him a little more feedback and all the crap we can give him . So that we get some more repeated replys. Thank CD ... Not being sarcastic. Just really thanking you for putting up with us ... But I have to say this . Man your job has to suck from all the feedbacks

I'll ignore your personal remarks about somebody you don't know (me), and address your comments about my original post. I did not thank Plarium for matchmaking changes. I thanked them for the preset changes. At the time I considered these changes to be independent of matchmaking changes. From that perspective, the changes are good, e.g. the same pilot in different presets can have different implants. 

Just because we have complaints does not mean we have nothing but complaints. If that were the case why play the game at all? Peace to you.

So then just select your weaker hangar(s) only? Or make all your hangars weak hangars. Am I missing something? If you're not intending to cheat the matchmaking why do you want a system where you can have it based of your active hangar which would be your weak one and still be able to select your other, stronger hangars? They're definitely not going to fix people cheating the matchmaking if they go with a system that can so obviously be cheated.

Yes, absolutely, checking the box beforehand only for the weak hangar is the alternative, as I've noted in my original post. I've also noted that my feedback is a niggle.. it's not terribly important. That said, just for completeness, I'll address one of your points:

I could be wrong but it looks like your comment assumes a situation where, when starting a game, matchmaking would happen based on weaker hangar but thereafter I can select the stronger hangar. I'd suggested simply that matchmaking should happen after I select the hangar I want to play with.

And as I said . If I'm wrong about my thought .Then please accept my apology for misreading . I did just read through it fast without letting it settle.
