Anyone else having trouble connecting to the servers for the event? This happened right after the Plarium Play update. Was able to get it to crash and connect right after once, but most of today it is has been giving us the "no-wifi" logo of doom at the top so we can't connect to the events :-(

Not being able to connect to the internet specifically when trying to access an event can be frustrating, especially if normal gameplay still works. It would be useful to check whether the issue affects only this event or all online features, and whether restarting the game or switching between Wi-Fi and mobile data makes any difference.
Yeah, sounds like the Plarium Play update may have messed with the connection. Plarium recommends resetting the cache first, since an update can leave the client out of sync with the game server.
