MOM!! The MM Is Picking On Me!

Been a pretty good couple of weeks. Completed the Individual Tasks for my Nomad, bring my total to 24 and hit 80k battles. The bad news? For whatever reason the MM God's have decided not to let me out of Division 10. On average I'm getting stuck on the losing side for 90% of my matches. Win a match, lose 5 -11 in a row. I figured the issue would sort itself out last week, but alas that doesn' t seem to be the case.

Been there, still dealing with it, stuck in Div 4 for about 5-6 months now.  So I feel your pain and it is a bummer.

Yeah, I usually end up in Div 3-4. Started out fine but I hit div 7 and things went south. I mean, I ended up back in Div 10 with zero points. That would be great, if I was trying to lose or ditching matches, but I'm not. The only thing I can figure is the MM is working overtime to balance out my win/loss rate.

I would offer you two forms of advice.

  1. Go hard -- Get the hardest hitting weapons that you can, load up with the most mods you can, advance your mechs and weapons as much as you can.  Then start battling your way to higher Divisions.
  2. Go soft -- Choose the weakest mechs and weapons you have, do not mod anything up, and then enter the matches.

The fact that you have been battling for this long means you have a bit of experience that most players at that level do not have.  If you can start racking up the kills, even if you lose, you will not lose much, if any.  I started my climb by doing the first, but the choice is up to you.

EDIT -- Just fought two matches and came out no better, no worse.  The only reason was I had the hightest score on my team, that lost, both times.  So yes, I do feel your pain, and know exactly what you are going through.
