[SUGGESTION] Upgrade Mech's Ranks

I think they should upgrade mech's star ranks. Something like:

  • Only purple epic mechs and higher can rank from 7/7 stars to 8/8 stars. Example:

  • At rank 8, mech's energy capacity upgrades a tier. Example: From 12e to 16e. Or from 16e to 24e.
  • This also gives the dev team an option to add higher energy capacity inventories (something new like an 40 energy cap mech or 20 energy weapons) while not making older mechs obselete.
  • Plairum also have the option to add higher energy capacity for older popular weapons. Example: Revoker now has a 20 energy version. More money for Plairum, yay!

I'm sure Plairum has something in the works.

Too much extra garbage already. Exactly why many of us left another robot battling game. Might as well add Titans and call in air support with nuclear warheads. Let's just make every weapon one shot, one kill and call it a day.

You write that they should, but don't explain why they should (apart from more money for Plarium :-) ). What's the reason behind your request?

This is because Plarium loves power creeping. There's only so much special/extra abilities you can do without raising the bar. Look at the most recent weapon, Bouncecritter (still wonder what critter it's shooting out). This weapon would be good if it was released before other weapons like hornet, pods, burrows, etc.. Due to this fact that people always want to see a stronger item released (and willing to pay for it), items with higher energy is going to happen sooner or later.

So, I might as well put up suggestions.

So your reason is "it's going to happen anyway so I'll ask for it"? But do you actually want it :-)? I don't think I would want such a change. I don't see how it would improve the game or benefit players.

What I want to see are more abilities that surprises me (I like shinies). Currently, releases for weapon abilities are starting to overlap other weapon's ability with a tweak here and there. Mechs are getting released less than before. It's becoming clear that it's slowing down without some sort of bump in overall power of the hangars.

But, I can also see the viscious cycle, raising the maximum ceiling will just mean more grind until you hit that ceiling, then the cycle repeats. It happens in all games of this genre (more-so in others like MMOs).

I personally don't mind it, as long as Plarium does catchup perks (seemingly like they are currently doing). It keeps those that wants to be at max hangar busy. Keeps spenders spending. Gives more range and variations to the game.

in a way indeed there must be something above ceiling so every player, even maced out, had a goal.. the proposed idea could have insane amount of acoins to upgrade and im sure people would still do it :)

there are spenders who would buy level 8 for like 10000$ im sure, if you think im stupid saying that, you are wrong :) there would be multiple people like that

but if they crossed this line and make it insanely expensive that is when the game would trylly become pay to win.

I don't think further increasing the energy capacity might be a good idea, although giving a extra buff might be useful.

Maybe an increase in sprint length alongside pilots gaining access to an extra implant slot.

It gives more range, not really more variation (in the sense of variety). If a regular 5k-10k hangar can face maxed loadouts, imagine the matchmaking disparity when the maxed loadout is more than what it is today.

I mean you want to see more new stuff, but are resigned to the probability that it won't happen so as a compromise you're asking for new ranks. But under the circumstances I see such a request as more detrimental than beneficial.

No, I stated that it is going to happen regardless, so I might as well suggest on ideas.

That's not what I meant either :-). Since we're unintentionally going in circles misunderstanding each other, I'll give this topic a rest from my side. Cheers :-).

I think they have a long, long way to go before adding even anything to the game yet.

All my posts are what needs to be fixed, can't even imagine an expansion.

I like your "expansion" term. It really is just that. But, as you know, regardless of the state of the game, an expansion will keep coming while they to re-balance and fix what is currently out (like with all other live service games). It keeps replayability high and those looking for more engaged.

Without the devs telling us their roadmap, which one gets more priority (expansion or fix/re-balancing) is anyone's guess.

Upgrading is already expensive doing that will bring the prices up, bad enough they need to lower prices for upgrading. Mind you when they said they lowered prices for upgrading the non legendary mechs, they did but also instead of going from 8 to 12 now u go 8 to 10 and some get worse then that. So them saying they did is 10000% false
