I get the logic of the idea, but the implementation and location makes it more of a detriment than a help. 

I don't need to send a chat response to, Attack!, or, Help! I do have to deal with covered up controls at very inoportune moments.

I don't need to see a gloating enemy emoji when, had it not popped up BEFORE I died, I could have fired back. In fact, the vast majority of them come from AI bots.

I can disable sound in-game. I should be able to disable chat as well.
