It looks very much like that player self destructed to try and deliberately throw the game. His 5th mech wasn't firing as well.. he just rushed in so an enemy bot could kill him (since it can't be self destructed). 

Assuming that's what's happening, it's nasty behaviour, since it messes up the other human teammate's tournament games.

its funny that self destruct option is enabled at all in any games, not even saying tournament where the guy not only gifted 5 points to enemy but we were also 1 man down.. id rather have such stupid guys spend time suiciding. but thats not me to decide, rather up to monkeys :)

It's the "change mech" option which, when used for the right reasons, can actually be useful. Hopefully this kind of "betrayal" usage doesn't become the norm :-).
