Does anyone else feel this way

Hey mech arena community just wanted to ask if anyone else feel this way when you enter in a "free for all" in tournament mode where you feel like it's a 9v1 where all enemy bots "and most of the are" are all actively working together as a hive mind to take you out before they interact each other? All moving in suspicious ways to where you you get oofed in priority to not let you dominate in a match. Asking for a friend.

the FFA used to be where i swear the most when i played tournaments :) its just quite overwhelming for action and kill steals.. too fast paced, you have no time to breath :)

No FFA if you form a team.

This is one of the reasons why they should remove premades from tournaments. It skews the matchmaking.

I'm assuming you mean teams. Skews the matchmaking how?

Yeah premade teams will let u play only CPC and 5v5 deathmatch, so that means u and ur teammates (I assume that ur teammates will be skilled enough to help u capture beacons or help ur mechs kill enemy mechs) can easily defeat opponents and u can win easily, but if we start by tapping the 'tournaments' tab and proceed you get random allies and enemies, but those allies you get in random mostly do not support u or go afk when they see powerful opponents, which puts u in a disadvantage against enemies. This is the "skew" Kesplarium wanted u to know

So, you're basically saying, clan members should not be allowed to play together in a tournament match, because, well, it's unfair.

And yet, somehow, it's also unfair to play with random teammates you may, or, may not, be able to count on.

FFA is unpopular with enough players that it is avoided to the point of ditching the match altogether rather than suffer through what is often a 9 on 1 beatdown.

It is an established and admitted fact that your win/loss rate is manipulated by the MM, no matter how well you perform as an individual player.

By all means, continue to chance having to play FFA. No skin off my nose. I'm merely presenting a viable option to avoid it. In the end, it won't change your win/loss rate, just your level of enjoyment.

I didn't mean that, though there are other game modes clanmates can play (clanmates needn't play tournaments, they can play regular CPC or 5v5 or 2v2 deathmatch) or let clanmates play tournament mode with similar people who have come from the same clan

I do know that FFA is the most toxic game mode in Mech Arena, cuz it's generally a 9 v 1 match and all those 9 opponents whom we face are stronger than they actually should be

As players, we don't want any manipulations of the matchmaker to get stronger opponents as we gain a winning streak. Let players win fairly. One should win because of their skill, not because of OP mechs/weapons which carry them throughout a battle or by matched against tougher enemies just because they are winning continuously

And yeah, I hate the level of toxicity of the FFA game mode and your solution actually made tournaments playable to a great extent. I am grateful tbh, but that does not mean I would stand by unlawful practices

"Let players win fairly."

That my friend has been a player issue since the early Beta days of MA. And yet, here I am 5 years and some 78,000 battles later still playing.

I don't concern myself with my win/loss rate. Instead, I concentrate on completing individual bot tasks. Less stress, more fun.

Plarium will keep the game mechanics as they are until the wheels fall off and it is no longer profitable.

Until they do something egregious that makes the entire player base quit, the beatings will continue until morale improves.

Well in my experience it simply means:

Me, a solo player with a decent hangar (about 14k SP) can be pitted with a bunch of randoms (who are about my strength, often less though) against a fully coordinating (sometimes in a VC) fully maxed team, all of which are stronger than any of my teammates or myself on their own.

Basically it means: you see a team when you're not in one, you lose.
