not only bad matchmaking but full of bugs as well

Just the more i play the more i realize how bugged this game is...

So many times I see enemy clearly, the enemy is shooting guided rockets in me, but my ability wont register the enemy on the map, nor the map can see it. I was sure the game was quite good bug-wise, but now im less and less convinced in this.. it's so sad.

i

Like.. Here is the map:

i

Here is the enemy shooting at me:

i

Here is the enemy, i can see it moving left right, but I can do f nothing!

i

While he shamelessly shoots savant at me left and right until i died.

And it's so many games like this, I could not use my outlaw ability either until enemy was right next to me, and I seen it approaching. But freking radar now can see less than me.

the radar is soooooooooooooo bad now... idk what or who killed it but now I don't see enemy on the radar more often than i don't see it on map. Can't make anything right here.. some slow enemies like dreadnought just appear out of nowhere, never register on radar, enemies running around and i cant do anything because radar doesnt pick them up, while i see them. What is this about????

Uh so no this is intended behaviour.

You, as a mech, can be 'spotted'. When you're spotted, you can be targeted by javelins and the like.

This also applies to the enemy.

However, just because you are spotted doesn't mean the enemy is. Typically that's the case, but not always.

In order to 'spot' an enemy, you need a direct line of sight from your camera to the center of the enemy's mech. This means, if your camera is above a wall but the center of your mech isn't, it means you can 'spot' enemies without them 'spotting' you back.

Additionally, other players on your team can 'spot' enemy mechs for you, without you having to spot them yourself.

Hope that clears things up :3

I think Papa mentioned that he can see the enemy (I see the enemy from the third SS). It's not a bug, unfortunately. From my experience, in order to register the target on the map, you have to see more than 25-30% of the target's top part. Seeing targets from the side to register on the map has a much smaller percentage. I believe this to be intentional.

Even if it's intentional, it's not intuitive. It seems like a straightforward enough game mechanic to improve. If the game can render a portion of the mech for your pov it seems reasonable for it to register on the map as well.

I agree with you. I think once we catch sight of any mechs (even a few pixels of them), it should register.
