Hanger Showndown Tips

Everyone, please feel free to add.

1. If you think you are good enough to rush the enemy, think again. I don't know how many times I spam cover me while watching a cowboy run up and get killed because they think they are all that.

2. If your team member takes down a Deathwalker but doesn't kill it, there is a reason. Don't try and kill when it's special move is activated unless you really have to.

3. If your inventory level is higher then 20k and you have to play league 3 or lower just to get wins in, you are not very good at the game. I have been seeing so many 30k + players in league 3 with my 12k account. I do really well in league 2 with my 20k account. And if you are under 10k, don't play league 3 or higher, Most likely you can't help your team member to win. There are exception to this last one, but not for many. We desperatly need brackets for this game.

4. If you actually play it as a team match, you have a better chance of winning. I've had stupid players come in a steal a kill I was working on to die as they get the kill, or let the temember from that team sneak up and kill me. So if you do not understand how to work as a team, don't play. This is why I keep suggesting that the points should be the same for both in a team matches so there isn't stupid people doing this.

If your teammate is Zephyr and you equipped long range, let him lead. If you are short range, let Zephyr follow. Zephyr isn't fast, let him catch up.

There are a small number of situations where rushing works. If you are rushing and always dying, that's a clear signal to slow down and let things develop.

A couple more.

If your teammate is targeted by a Parasite, try not to attack until it wears off or you can remove it yourself.

If the other team has mechs that can stun you, DO NOT run up on your teammate where they can stun you both at the same time.

That deathwalker one so many people PAINFULLY don't know about.. Used to be very similar, infuriatingly so, with Hemlock.

And another

If your teammate is more powerful then you, don't get in their way. Was just in a match and my teammate was like 5.2k inventory power. My first mech was an Orion with a very powerful ranged weapon. After I put on the hunters mark, they jumped in front of me to try and get the kill so all my attacks hit them, no matter how I repositioned. And guess what? They did no damage since they had weak ass weapons. Big surprise. I was still able to win it for us, but still, don't be stupid.

If points were the same in team matches how does that work? Cause to me it's like you either give your loser teammates undeserved credit or they unfairly drag you down.

Also my tip is especially in leagues 4 and 3 use damage sponges (tanks mostly), high energy mechs, damage boosting mechs, and weapons with either high damage or short reload time or both but preferably both. Otherwise use weapons that can fire in an arc with short reload time.

So you are saying that the same points will make it no difference when they run in and finish off your kill and they end up getting killed quickly to get those points, and since I was in the middle of that attack and have some damage, I die to the other player. So to just get a couple extra points they unfairly drag you down and you get zero points when they get a couple undeserved points.

As far as I can tell you get enough points as long as you win the match. So the bigger problem there is your teammate actually losing the battle for you as I see it.

Teamwork is critical. Aslo, I should not lose my Hangar attemp because some schmuck went AFk and I lost with the bots sitting there for 5 seconds then rushing toward whatever mech is closer.

Fill up your energy!

Say you have something with 18 energy and you have revoker 8 5 star but revoker 10 3 star. You may use dual revoker 8s because you see they produce more damage than your low star 10.

But in hanger, everything is maxed out, so use the revoker 10. It will be maxed and do more damage output than the 8.

It's funny how some people don't know the simple things.

I had a teammate that was like 52k IP and 13k SP, which is double mine on both. But they acted like they didn't know how to play any of their mechs. Like If I have a seeker, and they have a deathwalker, I'm going to wait for the deathwalker to ingage first so i can do a sucessful attack when they stay grouped together. I got into postion and this wannabe just stands there behind me not doing a damn thing. Use at least some common sense while playing. We ended up with a draw since we tied the 3rd round and I told them when to attack on the 4th and 5th ones.

How hard is it to understand DO NOT RUN IN TO THE ENEMY BY YOURSELF!!!

I just did my first 2 showdowns for the day, and in both I had turd burglers that rushed in and spammed help. There are some players I just don't want to play with, so why am I being forced???

it would be nice to go to the hangar as a team if you have a friend, but that would create even more imbalance for single players.. plus if you are organized team you could use stupid combinations like double aegis and have neverending shield, but its not even the most stupid combination, one of the most stupid hard to win i seen was solis in combination with mech that unloads your guns and abilities.. and they attack you one by one, so i cant see anything and cant do anything.. also there could be 2 volti.. sometimes even one volti with legendary implant cant take out my whole health.. 2 would be deadly.. could be fun to get 3v3 hangars maybe but it could be a mess i assume..

as for your last posts.. i agree, most of the time i meet top500 players they lose like noobs, they only learnt to play sp dropped hangars when you grind newbies, but cant play anything else

i often run to enemy by myself, its difficult to count on team work, the teammates are unpredictable.. some are great, some have no idea how to play even having 5 top robots. I used to be waiting near my ally for seekers but not anymore, it rarely had any positive outcome anyway and i ended up feeling stupid that i didnt attempt to win anything by staying and getting slaughtered, in my opinion if enemy has seeker than you both need to move towards seeker and not stay at the base waiting for tomorrow.
