FIX THE MODS

Plarium, the Mod requirement system is not just flawed — it’s actively damaging the competitive integrity of Mech Arena. Mods launched with Rank 3 access, players invested time, resources, and progression based on that rule, and then you raised the requirement to Rank 6 without transparency, compensation, or consistency.

The result? A split player base where some players still have Rank 3 Mod access while others are locked out. That is not a minor oversight. That is a fundamental fairness failure in a PvP game where progression and balance matter.

You cannot run a competitive shooter where different players operate under different rules. It undermines trust, progression, and the credibility of your entire upgrade system. Players who joined later or progressed normally are being punished, while others keep permanent advantages simply because they were online at the right time.

This needs to be fixed immediately. There are only two fair solutions:

Restore Rank 3 Mod access for ALL players, or

Require Rank 6 for EVERY player with zero exceptions.

Anything else is indefensible. The current system is inconsistent, unfair, and impossible to justify. The community deserves a clear answer and a real fix — not silence, not vague statements, and not selective enforcement.

If competitive integrity matters to you, fix this now. The longer this goes unaddressed, the more players you lose.

It really is unfair.

It also seems messed up to have these purple mods that are so weak compared to gold. I learned its not worth getting purple. Just wait for gold.

We have been mentioning this for a long time now, but they still think it's more balanced this way. I don't think anyone involved with this game even understands what balance means. And to make matters worse, they still allow mods for those players when getting a new mech that doesn't have 6 stars. Any logical person would know how unbalanced it is to have the newest mech, Blizzfrost, get mods the second they buy it with it only having 4 stars. When I originally asked Crystaldrew about it, they had no idea how the new mechs had mods and acted like they knew it was wrong. But he found out and was ok with it.

I never looked before but now looking at player setups after matches, there are tons of players with under 6 stars and mods. Many may have gone for mods over upgrading their mech. They've got to do something for fairness. It may not be a simple "open mods up to 3 stars".

They will not see this until the holiday season is over unfortunately. This is a problem I didn't know about until I saw that recent forum post called "quitters" mentioning a ruffles video.

I will say you can get certain lower rank mechs to rank 6 to unlock mods for them much sooner since the repricing update like Lancer can get to rank 6 quite cheap. It's comparable to some rare mechs in performance in battle but much cheaper.

This doesn't solve the problem though, only mitigates it somewhat. Thess old accounts still get to equip newly obtained 3 star and above mechs with mods. That makes them able to equip any low rank legendary they pay for including nomad and dreadnaught, making them even better for sp dropping. And for a limited window like everyone they could get vortex and redeemer free, except they also got to add mods to those mechs. What's more, repricing update means we have reason to upgrade common mechs again, which is good on the surface, except we'll end up replacing it eventually so maybe there actually isn't a point. Well besides the fact that lancer can maybe still stick around for a bit jumping on rooftop. But paragon is hopeless. As with other mechs it may only be useful in your journey to unlock it for the sake of unlocking legendary mechs. Still never mind the upgrades. Which who knows I guess balances out as we're spending much much less on stuff that's going to be discarded. Only problem being content people already spent more resources on for upgrades before the repricing had that content devalued and got no compensation
