I remember seeing something similar a while back, and in most cases it wasn’t actually a “bug” but more about how the stats are recalculated after the update.

After upgrading the Alchemical Laboratory, the bonuses don’t always apply in the same way as before — sometimes they shift between base stats and percentage boosts. So even if you “maximize” it, the final numbers can look lower depending on:

• active boosts
• hero/equipment bonuses
• troop type modifiers
  

That said, a drop like 1500 → 1408 offense does look a bit too big to ignore.

A couple of things I’d suggest checking:

• Are all your boosts (items, hero gear, etc.) still active after the update?
• Did you compare the stats in the exact same context (same location, same bonuses)?
• Try relogging or switching browser — sometimes the client shows outdated values
  

If everything checks out and the numbers are still lower, then it might actually be an issue with how the update is applied on the browser version.
