SPENT 1,500 DOLLARS SOFAR THIS YEAR BEN PLAYING FOR 2.5 YEARS 

I see this is old but yes the game is a rabbit hole, no reasonable person would start buying mechs, upgrades, armor, weapons. It cosy literally thousands of $.

The game is more fun if you earn your gear, as ypur skills improve, see this as a journey, enjoy yourself as you play. It costs the developers a few hours of programming to add subroutines and they charge 5 to 150 $ over and over to every gamer that pays. There is no end because they keep adding things to pay for. Relax, be patient, and have fun, the more you spend, harder the opposition gets, and the more frustrated you become and eventually quit. :)

and many quit with each new update yepp that is the Plarium way to screw the average joe player 

Then Why continue to play. If this game makes many people hate it because of the price of all there stuff. I hate it more because there reward that they put out are pure shit. BluePrints to things you dont have and or want to get and so much of it. But as soon as you do get one of there weapons/mechs. Then it becomes A unicorn all of a sudden. Puff just like that. Bot they'll sell you the blueprints for the stuff that they where giving out like a cheap trick with a fist full of hundreds.  And then also for the lower tiers . theres things that I have thousands of that I cant get rid of. But wont let me scrap it. But if its implants that are paid for . you can scrap. Sorry for the rant. But just wanted to help u not like this game as anyone who feels the same way .
