Hi plarium. When we are using a mech with an ability shield(including mechs without dedicated shield such as seeker), the mod shields break before the ability one does. and it is very frustrating because the mod shields are very precious being one-time for the round. it would be much more logical if the mech's ability shield broke before the mods can take damage.
If there's one thing keeping seeker in line, it might be the fact that mod shields break before ability shields. Can you imagine this thing teleports to you and shoots at you for a few seconds slowly eating away at your HP, while you're just wasting ammo. Because the seeker will hardly lose shield durability and it'll camp back in safety forcing you to come forward and put more risk on yourself. And when you finally get to them they have full HP and full mod shields.
No thanks. I don't like this suggestion. A few players have already given a nickname to mech arena that is "shield arena".
