Sounds awful. Lancer at max is probably a mech for like 4k sp and you're playing it at 2k so people theoretically with more than twice your power.

Though a legendary rank 3 isn't that much weaker.

The thing is lancer is just a weaker version of Lacewing and it at max has similar stats to rank 4 Lacewing. And I'd put Lacewing in contention with Citadel and Outlaw for best mech in the game. Blizzfrost is good as well but I wouldn't call it a contender for best mech in the game.

Lancer is cheap for in game resources. You should upgrade one yourself.

That's the catch. Now that you spent money to improve your mechs... You now need to spend money money... And then you'll end up going up against mechs where you will need to spedn more money.... caught in a repeating cycle. 

never spent money to upgrade mechs just bought the battlepass, the cheap panther, guardian. spent a whole 16 bucks and now the absurd regret kicks in. ffs games are supposed to be fun not a wallet simulator and a do you have the paitence to wadw through 100 percent rigged matches and continue

yea that'll take time as I'm not a big spender, get by paycheck to paycheck. can spend a small amount every few months

blizzfrost is okay but with out a good set up it's pretty mid if not useless in the one sided matches I'm getting. I have the freebie pilot, maybe 3 mods between 3 mechs zero legendary weapons, arc 6 and ember 6 plus got cryo 6. still a bit before i can get killshot from the event i'm doing. only irl money spent on weapons was the arc 6's

Lancer is real cheap for in game resources. I think the overarching problem though is the game influencing the outcome of matches to an absurd degree. But having a mini version of a mech that's in contention for the best mech in the game goes a long way and you don't have to spend anything really. It gets cheap mods too being a common mech.
