thats like 3000 points.. for league 2. i never reached that.. too many rewards. And for league one that would totally be unfair.. they would be grabbin legendary crates every day.
i vote against.
They could restructure the points system for this. Guess this mode should just stay unbalanced like the rest of the game huh? What's the point of this new game mode if it's structured to be so unbalanced? I'm in league 3 and it's always a one sides match, even the ai bot matches aren't even I get stasis beam m.d. the opponent gets repeater killshot. Really it doesn't matter if the points are too many, that's a very strange thing to vote against.
Also doing this would bring more PvP matches for this mode that's supposed to be PvP only. There were more actual PvP matches in the old 2v2 mode then there is in this new HS mode. When I get an Ai bot teammate in HS I just leave because it's a forced loss for me especially all these 3 star volti, dreadknot, and seekers against my rare and epic mech hanger. I'd rather the old 2v2 mode then HS. The rewards are meaningless if you can't achieve anything worth the time and stress it offers now.
good luck to you with ideas, i dont think anyone who can influence things is reading the forum anyway, i'm just here for moan and chat.. about your idea i have already spoken :D
No need for good luck to you as well cause there' plenty of moan for you to chat about... better time spent than playing the game :)
Yeah with my 10 battles today, I reached the fortune keys... And that's it. I'm in league 1, of course.
Today in League 3 I couldn't even get 1 win out of 10 battles. My enemies have full legendary mechs and weapons and my best mech at the moment is Sentinel (account is less than a month old). I stand no chance when my opponents don't even need weapons because their special ed abilities do all the work.
In my hangar i have guardian, lancer, zypher, aegis and orion. I could easily swap aegis and orion to something else like paragon (with charge rockets he could be a monster), stalker or tengu. or epics like killshot and cheetah. And im sure i would still kick ass. Sometimes i also win only 3 games, sometimes i win 8 games.. on average i win 5+ you need some luck with matchups.. you cant win if you put sniper against seeker.. or close combat against lancer with gemini on a flat map but it happens.. you cant be winning always even with best skills and mechs. too many variables for a f up.
Sentinel is only good if you can fire at enemy long distance, like with some sort of overdriver/berserker. But if a guardian comes close with close quarter weapon you have no chances, he will drop your shield and kill you while you reload. Epic does not mean its better, legendary does not guarantee a win.
You need to learn strengths and weaknesses of every mech and weapon and use it in your favor. start with guardian and you will eventually understand what i mean. give it fragment gun or ember gun or both. sneak and use ability to disarm enemies.
weapons play a good part.. you need good weapons.. doesnt mean they got to be legendary but a cryo luncher + fragment gun on a slingshot will do you wins if you know what to do. cryo luncher nearly immobolises enemy and you can go around and do a lot of damage while he can barely turn to hit you.
If that doesnt make sense to you, im sorry, i troed to help

My matchups are far past your suggestions, your "help" is irrelevant and was a waste of time to read. No need to be sorry, you are fine. Appreciate the try tho buddy lol
Papa you should ditch the Lancer for Tengu. I'm not a Lancer fan though, so I'm biased.
I don't know why people with legendary mechs playing league 3 unless they legitimately hsve a bunch of low level legendaries. Purposely dropping leagues is lame.
Actually, they could simply ban legendary mechs and/or weapons from league 3. Make league 3 only common-rare, league 2 add epic, league 1 all. Include pilots, implants, and mods in that stratification.
420 you said your account is only a month old? Then I suspect your game can be improved. I lost at league 1 all the time. Then I got better and now win most. In league 1 I see lots of non-legendary mechs used effectively. Especially Guardian, Zephyr, Orion, Tengu.

well i put Lancer only because it has 7 stars.. it makes my total go up so im in 2nd league and not 3rd.. so im a hangar riser haha. There was killshot in its place.. And killshot was my top mech until i figured out how im supposed to play this mode if i want to win more than lose.. I was lucky to get Dreadnought for 3k a-coins so i went to swap lancer just to remind myself that its impossible and he is there for a reason :) so i replaced Guardian purely because of max health difference.. im not a fan of dreadnought but its cool to try something new. I like lancer very much especially with compound beams, im biased too.. sometimes it gives me win against 2 enemies, sometimes it dies instantly.. i will replace it with mine jumper one day whatever that mech is called.. but i dont have it yet. I like Tengu.. to be honest i like most mechs and it will be a very difficult decision to replace someone.. maybe they need to make 10 mechs hangar battles :) for now my tengu is only 12 energy.. its not great for use without 18 energy, hangar battles are not for fun, i hate it when my teammates are underperforming or cant even survive 5 seconds into the fight so im trying to be serious and not disappoint my team. Otherwise tengu is a good option..
The idea for forbidding legendaries in 3rd or 4th league sounds great, if only anyone listened

Apologies to you Papa for me trying to be a smartass and trying to grief you. You seem like a really good guy and you do try and help others in positive ways. I did fallow some of yours and others advice and have been doing a little better skill wise lol the a.i. bots though, those cheating things really ruin my want to keep playing and they definitely don't help improve skills because they flat out cheat! No skills help against cheating a.i.

16 days today. My only legendary weapon is the free compound 6s. Is that my problem? They give me a weapon that can actually do something and the game thinks I'm a whale and pro at the game now lol 0 mods 0 pilots and all I face are bots and players my weapons can't scratch (other than my whale pro free weapon Compounds) and my mechs die instantly to anything in pretty much just 1 shot because they are so squishy.
I really like the idea of no legendary in leagues 3 & 4, should have been that way from the start.
Well that hangar picture helps to see the level of your issue... I think I only started playing hangar showdown when I reached first division.. Im not sure why I didnt do it before, I just didnt see the point after trying couple times and being humiliated... or i didn't realize the benefits im not sure..
And when I started on 1st divion, i will be honest, i sucked at it.. it takes time to figure out how it works, and I only did it for rewards.. now I even enjoy it a bit.. it helps very much to learn weaknesses and strengths of the mechs.. so i think it's a great experience for everyone, and helps in normal games, if you have some moral resistance for initial humiliation..
Tengu will be great addition for hangar showdown if you can do 1-2 upgrades for it to make it higher energy.. 12 would be a good start.
I see you have a lot of guided weapons, I assume it's for missions, if not, it's still good, but for hangar showdown i dont recommend them at all, unless you are a pro guided weapon guy, im not.
So few things that i would do to make your hangar more efficient for hangar showdowns (for my personal preference, doesnt mean it would work for you), given your level of weapons, mechs and credits:
1) get rid of slow mechs like ares and juggernaut (guardian is exception as his ability is very useful), fast mechs are good, slow mechs are easy targets.
2) buy zypher if you can (his special ability is super valuable for hangar showdown)
3) get killshot from event darby if you can (much greater dash power and health than slinghot)
4) calculate how many total stars you got on you hangar showdown mechs, it may be worth to go up and down the league by adding or removing paragon/lancer assuming that they have most stars in your hangar
5) buy some epic weapons if you can, cryo luncher 6 was helpful to me in beginning, i was lucky to pull charge rocket 8 from chests, that was a monster and still is my favorite weapon for hangar showdown, you can shoot near enemy when he is under cover and still hit him, equaly good would be some sort of storm rack or missle rack (voltaic rack is a no-no if you need to buy it)
6) use less long range weapons and more close combat.. hangar showdown maps are usually small with not much space for guided/mortars/sniper (i use sniper weapons, but they are legendary, i dont think longarms would give you a win, only 5 shots, not that powerful and huge reload times).
shotguns, fragment guns, ember guns are really in the legue to do huge damage when maxed out.. use them on those robots who can come close to the enemy (like slingshot, maybe puma, paragon, lancer), the idea is to hide from long range enemy behind walls (depending on map) and then use stairs or jump from second floors to catch them
not sure about arc torrent weapon, i didnt use it much but i believe it could be useful too if you need to buy embers..
7) assault weapons are not good for showdown, at your level.. fusion canon might be ok, but i would stay away from assault weapons until you have legendaries like reavers, overdrivers, berserkers or others..
so in short No assault, no sniper, no guided (unless maybe disk lunchers, geminis ect which you probably dont have), no beams (unless compound beams, burrow beams, maybe graviton beams, NOT particle beams, unless you already have them it might work..), no mortars, - just close combat, heavy duty or barrage I guess.. the rest you need to be legendaries to make it work.
8) compound beams I could only successfully use on lancer.. it allows me some flexibility, if my enemy is close combat then I am trying to keep 60m distance to hit with long range laser beam, lancer can easily jump away and keep that distance, and then if I accumulated the charge and my enemy is low health then I jump on the enemy and hit from the sky finishing it off.. I don't think compound beam can be a great killer head on... unless you put it on some tank with huge health and shield.. like maybe Sentinel.. I'm not sure. It might be good enough to win i can't comment as I have not tried.
I'm not sure what more to say, the most important is to picture the matchup robots and weapons, remember their special abilities and weapons and names and then on the map trying to stay away from specific enemies or rush against specific enemies, depending on your weapons, your ally etc.. somebody says it helps to figure out what weapon enemy has by looking at the pilot icon, but in league 3-4 there is no pilots, so that doesnt help you.

Alright I will put this information to good use and work on a better hanger. Think I'll not do Hanger Showdown for now until the account is upgraded enough to actually help real player teammates. Was initially why I started HS was to get resources for upgrades. Bot filled 5v5 and CpC for now it is lol
i dont think you need to wait for upgrades.. just use what you have, if you fall into 3-4 league, everyone there should expect players of same level, it's a fair game.. nobody should complain, as long as you are happy yourself..
in general, if I get weak players in my league, I don't complain much.. it's better than bots and it's better than somebody who is offline and not moving.. if my ally survives 10 seconds then I'm happy.. because that's a minimum I need to have a chance to not fight 2 enemies simultaneously..
if the enemies look far above the league then it's just sp droppers who want easy wins, no idea what for thought as they would get less rewards than being in league 1-2..
I assume there could be a lot of paying newbies, the legendary mechs still have little of stars.. and paragon is much weaker than maxed out dreadnought or nomad, but they may have same amount of stars.. but it would not be experts, so they will have weaknesses even if mechs look unkillable.
So it might put you off.. sometimes.. i do meet enemies that just demolish the team.. but im there mostly for rewards, somehow hangar showdown doesn't stress me with super powerful enemies anymore, as long as my ally is a human, moving and survives for a bit..
So just use what you have, replace juggernaut with paragon.. give them shotguns, fragment guns, ember guns.. compound beams.. not sure what your middle puma is wearing from picture.. looks like some sort of berserkers to me.. so thats great gun too.. and try to not rush and die in first 5 seconds.. and everyone should be happy :)
Realistically you just need to figure out your 3 strongest mechs, and use them first.. it's quite tipical to dominate for either one team or another.. so it's mostly decided in first 3 battles.. although i often fight 5 battles.. but that may also happen if people are using 2 good mechs and then they are not sure what to use.. or if matchup was weird.. right now I have 2 universal mechs that are good for close and far and the rest are guessing game and luck.. sometimes they do great and kill both enemies, sometimes they die like flies..
Reward is all that matters.. you still getting something even if you lose. I didn't play until first division because I was stupid, I didn't pay attention to rewards. But also there was a lot less rewards in old hangar.. they changed it now and added a lot of things for newbies, so even people who lose a lot dont leave empty handed.
Good luck.
Another suggestion.. give us a toggle for searching for only players or only bots. I am so damn sick of these unbalanced teammate bots. Actually, screw this game mode I'm done with it's cheating matchmaking.
We ALL feel your frustrations, this game is just never ending balance issues and rigged game plays.....
This is a game company I will never support with their unethical practices and rigged games!
