What's the difference with these implants?

I have particle beam damage implant and particle beam blast mode implant but can't use them both at the same time even though they are marketed as different implants from each other.. why can't they both be used at the same time if they are for different purposes? They are sold side by side as different implants and I sunk resources into them both to use and I'm only able to use 1 of the 2 different implants at the same time? Makes no sense to me.

They are different implants, why only 1 or the other?

Hello! Both of the Implants improve the damage, so that's why they are considered as the same type.

That's really stupid to have 2 DIFFERENT implants for the SAME weapon that do SAME thing with different descriptions yet charge separately for both even though they do the same thing? So damn shady! This company is rotten to the core!

Hello! Both of the Implants improve the damage, so that's why they are considered as the same type.

Out of curiosity, I checked the implants. One is described as "increases particle beam damage". The other is described as "increases particle beam bast mode damage".

Since the second one is specific, that implies that the first one increases both kinds of damage (beam and blast). If that is true, then there is no reason to sell the blast damage one and you should remove that and refund customers whatever they paid for it (in-game or real currency).

But if that is false and the first only increases beam damage, then a) you should fix the description, and b) you should allow both implants to be loaded since they do not overlap with each other.

My opinion - keep it simple, and have only one implant.

Hello! Both of the Implants improve the damage, so that's why they are considered as the same type.

That makes zero sense since each implant is for separate damage within the same weapon and not the same. A player can equip all four storm rack implants with two of those dealing separate increases in damage. One is a general damage implant while the other deals more shield damage. With that being said, a player should be able to equip all the different particle beam specific implants which are sold as a set...

Hello! Both of the Implants improve the damage, so that's why they are considered as the same type.

What is the difference between the two implants, Particle Beam DMG and Particle Beam Blast Mode DMG? And, What is the same between the two implants, Particle Beam DMG and Particle Beam Blast Mode DMG? Please explain more on why they both can't be used at the same time. I can see they both say "Particle Beam and DMG" in the titles but one says for Beam DMG and the other for Blast Mode DMG. What's the difference and why can't they be used together?

Does anyone have an answer to this? What makes these two separate implants so similar that they can't be used together? This is really confusing to have two separate implants that have different titles but they can't be used together. Do they both do the same thing just have different implant descriptions? What exactly is the difference between the two?

Particle beams have two firing modes- beam mode and blast mode. Beam mode fires a beam and as long as you're hitting a target, it charges up the blast mode. Once you have the blast mode fully charged, it launches a single, high damage projectile, and puts the weapon on reload. The Beam damage implant increases the damage from the beam mode, and the blast damage implant increases the damage from the blast mode. You cannot use them both at the same time because they're both technically weapon damage implants and you cannot use two weapon damage implants on the same pilot. Whether this is an oversight on the devs' end or whether it's intentional is anybody's guess.

Thanks for the reply.. Wouldn't the radius damage and shield damage implant that other weapons have be considered a weapon damage increase implant as well though?
