Took 4 tries to get lvl 1 to unlock.  Many hundreds of pic/name change items purchased with gold -- and wasted -- with no result.

Thanks for your reply, Epsilon.  I'm at Palace 31, so theoretically, I should be able to unlock all levels of this secret achievement.  Being "secret," I realize not all info posted online (e.g. vikings.help/en) is reliably accurate, which is a major drag.  

I go with pic changes only, because they're easier.  I have purchased the exact amount of pic change items indicated for next level (plus a few dozen extras for good measure), spent them ALL, and still nothing.  I've tried it several times with no result, amounting to a considerable chunk of gold wasted.     

So I'm thinking it's less about user-error than about something that needs to be fixed in the system... by a casino gaming company whose business model is built around users blindly wasting resources with no return....

To save face, the developers of this game should put a bit more effort into making sure these things work properly... if for no other reason than to appear less "SCAMMY"
