The notification messages which appear in the top centre of the screen prevent, for a moment or two, the player from giving instructions.  This is somewhat frustrating when, for example, the player seeks to put a shield up very quickly after initiating an attack or when a repetitive action such as sending resources to the Stronghold is under way.

I get little or no useful information from the messages which is not more conveniently available elsewhere but perhaps some people value some of the information so my suggestion is to provide an option to switch off the messages.  I would certainly do so if the option were provided, others might leave the messages to continue to appear.
