You would have to explain what you mean by get rid of them.

Do you mean you do not want to see them? If so what benefit would it give you?

Seeing them indicates that they have been added to when you earn them.

Elders and chief do not get rid of them either, they convert them into items in the store.

If you mean you want to spend them,no there isnt, you have to be promoted and trusted enough not to waste prowess points by putting things in the store which are not very useful and would be a waste of the points.
