Domain guards are killing the game

When DGs first came out I thought they were an excellent idea.  They were a nice reward to add for competitions, and allowed smaller players to gather rss and score well in competitions.  However, since they have turned up in packs 100 at a time, they are killing the fun for those smaller players who would like to fight.  Why? Because smaller players learn to fight by tile hitting, and now there are very few tiles that can be hit.

Now, people log on, hit ubers, stick 16 guards on tiles and log off.

That is not really playing the game, is it.

People don't really want to play, they  just want to win and get ahead, that's why buying packs and gold, clicking spend gold to upgrade is so popular,   instant success ,that is all that matters  to many, few have the patience to build slowly,  which is again why the clamour  for upgrades is so popular  and a money spinner.

Was there an Idea/Suggestion in there? Or are you ranting.. if so, what's really got you upset because domain guards are still one of the best additions to the game. Seems like you hate that you can't steal someone's hard earned Uber Lairs. Money spent or not, they take time and those lairs are earned. Or.. are you more annoyed that you can't attack vulnerable people on tiles and then hide under your shield so they can't retaliate?  Why do you have a problem with people doing what they need to do and getting offline? Not everyone can spend their days glued to the screen. You should also know that without domain guards, KvK and CvC would be difficult as hell for any f2p players that depend on gathering RSS for points.  So really.. what exactly do you think would be improved by the absence of domain guards?
