What kind of bonus do want want expect?
There is already a good reason for doing either of these things.
If it was introduced, I can see the loop hole exploiters having a field day.

As far as bonuses for stronghold convoys go, I thinking it would be nice if there was a way to lower tax, increase capacity or decrease March time individually... If that's at all what you were getting at. The unique boosts that were for sale in the bank to increase convoy capacity for either clansmen or the stronghold for a given amount of time were perdy durn nifty as well. -Perhaps we could bring those back with an added boost for reduced tax rate? Well … there you put forth a good idea actually. Why not give % discount on purchases from what you help others with.

Alright, here it is...
You don't get a bonus because the word used is "donation" not " transaction".
It is your choice to donate or not, but you benefit from the work done in the stronghold as much as anyone else in the clan. Donating is more like transferring money from your checking account to your savings, and it pays back interest with massive points in CvC events, increased military stats for your troops and powerful equipment for your hero.
