I have a lot of troops, or thought I did,,,,
but if someone attacks me, they kill 75% of my troops
and they lose only about 1/2 of what I lose.
I had to heal them all in infirmary.
How you better defend and what troop numbers are good.
My wall is level 14 and my palace is level 14 as well.
plus I bought a troop package so figured I was good.....
any advice....

You should train and upgrade the one type of troops dude. It helps you grow up faster and more efficient.

From what i get from the first post, you are plalying with either no money invested or "just little money" invested. :)
Yes, there are strategies for defending but, let us be honest about this, forget about all this when you are playing f2p. There is now way of defending. None. (Except for the peace shields, that is) ;)
You lack the Town-Level, you lack the Hero-Level and equipment, the knowledge and the rss and boosters to train even 10% of the troops needed to get into the safe zone.
1. Remain shielded at all times.
2. Send your troops, as reinforcements, to the village of a clanmate (s) That is shielded at all times.
