I have bought 4 mariners chainmails now and although they show as legandary in the hero's equipment list when I try to use them in a shamens upgrade they show as white with a reduced chance of getting legendary equipment. I can fill all 3 gems and 1 runes slots. Why is this ?
Unless something else that you are using isn't legendary,I would say its a bug that they need to know about and Ivar is only going to tell you they no longer deal with these kind of problems in the forum, and will tell you to contact support directly.
Dont forget to strip gems and runes beforehand.

Thanks Anyone, yes all equipment is legendary. But as soon as I put Mariners Chainmail into slot it becomes white instead of gold.
