You need to refresh your game each time when the pumpkins come out ... or else you will not see them.

Yes. It is strange. I play through Firefox and the pumpkings always appear but I talked to someone who plays through Facebook and they have to log out and log in each time they show up to see them.

I play through firefox also (and have also through most other major browsers) and I have to refresh the page to see the pumpkins ... just like when any other invaders first come out ... I don't have to log out and log in though ... I have no idea how it works through facebook ...

Now that you say that I seem to recall that I don't see the pumpkings as soon as the 3hrs starts. I will have to check when/if the turkeys show up next month.
Perhaps there is some type of occasional autorefresh in the browser version that is absent in the facebook version?
Almost forgot. In facebook, they do not see the 3hr timer for the pumpkings unless they log out of the game and back in again.

From experience,when using the browser version of the game, even when refreshing frequently, the special holiday uber invaders do not show on the map till long after they were spawned, indicated by how much time there is left.
Please notice the same problem occurrs when the normal invaders and ghosts are changed, so we never see 24 hours of the one day only invaders.
Also this has been mentioned on previous occasions, both of these things are unfair on those of us that use the browser version of the game.
As is the fact that the special event uber invaders get gobbled up by the more advanced players.
It may be advantageous for the operators of the game for it to be like this, but its certainly not so for the average player who would also like to get some of the bonuses from these events.
There was some suggestion a while back that the holiday prizes were going to be hidden in the normal game events, which would give everyone an equal chance of getting some of them.

It used to be that not all kingdoms got the special invaders at the same time (I am not sure if that is still the case and will try to check next time they come out). Yea and some can get those special invaders much "easier" ... especially those who have the plunderer subscription where their march speed is increased by 2,500% ... they can easy gobble up the special invaders ... and when they use double hero ... well ... yea I get a lot less of those special invaders than I usually did ... but such is the case ... I choose not to buy the plundererr subscription ... :)
