Sorry, but this is a dumb question but .. Is your hero on a march when you're trying to do this? 

Other than that, I have no idea. There was a bug a couple of weeks ago, but everything's been working for the heroes today, for me.

I have been checking this .

It tells you if you try to change equiment directly from the forge that the heros out ( I recall another post about this similar message)..

It doesnt give you this message if you click on the heros picture and try to do it that way, the equip hero button is then inoperable if the heros out .

Rereading his post( just now) would suggest that this is the case.

the double hero is a "scroll" found in bank pack only... nothing to do with progress...

lot of fighter use it... having a hero on march for attack and one staying home for defense... it is usually found in bank offert with other goodies for combat

some people use it too for kill invader/uber faster

I am very well aware that you only get  2 heros  by buying another from the bank, and it wasnt my intention to imply otherwise .

However my point does have something to do with progress in the game:

When someone  hasnt been playing very long, its possible that only one march is available, and so, even with 2 heros , could not have both out at the same time.

Someone who hasnt been playing very long is less likely to need to use a second hero .
