i'm a level 35 trying to increase my level but lacking soul shards, i need alot of them and having difficulty obtaining them due to my level,

most people a built up with high level gear and achievements and each time i attack i lose alot of troops compare to Others who only lose around 100k need some advice on how i can obtain alot of them fast? I did hear the scout can earn you alot if true? And what tier of troops to use to help make me be successful, my main troops are melee
