I thought if I dismissed my troops from castle they would be able to do marches, I worked so long to get them now I've lost them can you help please

That's unfortunate, sadly you won't be able to get your troops back once they have been dismissed.
To send troops on a march you have to do one of the following; capture a resource, attack a resource being farmed, attack a town or send reinforcements to a town.
