Click on Friend and you can see them ALL. And same time who of your friends is online.

When he is not in your list you dont need to delete him :)

Try adding them again and if they still do not appear in your list I suggest you contact Support as we here on the Forum cannot solve this issue

There's also a search bar at the top of the friends screen. You could try entering his name there and see if he comes up.
