И когда начнется битва за Авалон ?
Остров Авалон
Впервые об Авалоне упоминается в уэсской саге "Тайны темных морей". В ней сказано, что это остров неведомой красоты, затерянный далеко на западе в водном просторе. По легенде, Авалон полон несметных богатств: златые дворцы и серебряные башни, изумрудные святилища и драгоценные камни, венчающие крыши домов. Но дорога к острову столь сложна, что достичь его и найти авалонские сокровищницы могут только опытнейшие моряки.
Упоминается Авалон и в других сказаниях жителей северных земель. Уэсские мореходы именуют его чудесным Островом Вечности, утопающим в зелени, Благословенным краем, полным загадок, Великой землей, исцеляющей дух, и даже Островом яблок.
Согласно преданиям, на Авалоне есть сакральное место — Святое Древо. Яблоки, растущие на Древе, обладают чудодейственной силой — даруют бессмертие. Стоит лишь вкусить путнику наливной плод, как его тело омолодится, печали и заботы растворятся, а время остановится. Уэссцы молитвенно повторяют: "Нашедший Древо обретет великое могущество на веки вечные".
Еще ходит молва, что на острове покоится прославленный уэсский Герой. Он безнадежно искал Святое Древо со своими благородными рыцарями Великого Ордена и пал на поле битвы. По легенде, Герой, чей меч сразил тысячи врагов, однажды проснется и вновь явит свою силу…
Шли века, сменяя друг друга. Затерянный Авалон пытались найти амарийские Лорды, мореходы из жаркого Дора и уэсские островитяне. И вот недавно лучшие амарийские исследователи наконец отыскали легендарные врата к острову. Молва о найденном Авалоне разнеслась по всем Королевствам, и на остров прибыли уэсские друиды — верховные жрецы и жрицы, организовавшие свое духовенство. Они обещали наградить Медалями пытливых амарийцев, стремящихся разведать тропы к Святому Древу. А Короли объявили: "Орден, покоривший Авалон, станет величайшим Орденом в Амарии".
Теперь в этом месте проходит Турнир "Битва за Авалон". Лорды сражаются со Стражами острова, ревностно оберегающими сокровища Башен. Защитники бдят денно и нощно, не давая исследовать Авалон. Говорят, что в центре острова, где величественно стоит главная Башня, и пустило свои корни Святое Древо.
Так оно или нет — покажет время. Только избранные раскроют все тайны Авалона и увековечат свои имена в истории.
