Myself, I (also) wish there were Inquisitor Profiles instead of the current setup. Then the same piece of Inquisitor gear could be assigned to multiple profiles instead of needing a new piece and associated jewels and runes per.
- However, I would not want to lose the advantage of the current setup: Assigning a piece of gear to an Inquisitor dedicates that piece of gear to that Inquisitor. The upshot of which is I can't accidentally dismantle a piece of gear that a different Inquisitor is wearing.
= perhaps apply the concept of locking. Each piece of gear has a locked checkbox. That checkbox has to be cleared before it can be dismantled. (One would go through their profiles / Inquisitor and tick all the elements of the finalized 'set'.)
The same idea would be useful for equipment. Aside from naming them (a la profiles?), it would allow different gems and runes be applied per piece of equipment / profile.
e.g. Castle Defense gear vs Castle Offense gear - (more) defensive rather than offensive jewels/runes would be in the former, and the opposite for the latter.
And thus naming the combination (rather than just the gear piece) would be even more useful.

Am i missing something in this idea? I thought that is what Hero Profiles was for? Each of my Hero Profiles has it's own skills, but also it's own associated armor pieces in the six slots. For me I just click the "Activate" to swap skills AND gear. They also do have meaningful names.
I do wish I could name my armor pieces though... I sometimes forget which helmet might be for what etc...
