Out of memory can also be a browser and/or Windows issue. [Not to take anything away from what you've said.]
Things like memory leaks would not be anything that content providers like Plarium can do anything about - they are browser or OS issues. Insufficient memory would be issues identified at request time, not along the way. i.e. Requesting an icon load would fail then for lack of memory, not some time later.
It can help to use different browsers for each of your different activities to help minimize this. [Doesn't eliminate the problem, but does reduce the frequency of it.]
e.g. Chromium for game and Chrome for general browsing. Each will then get their own data address spaces. 64-bit is supposed to address this, but my experience demonstrates it hasn't, at least on Windows. Seems to happen a bit less with Opera.
Clearing out the cruft also helps, by page (F5) or browser restarts, but then you'll already be doing that at least once a day at the start of each day's events. (To effect that day's bonuses.) And probably a couple of hours later too, to catch the new round of assailants.
