Most castles in the game have lost their names and avatars

Surely you must know about this issue already, since it has been mentioned in the Global Chat. But since it's a long-standing issue and it hasn't been fixed, and I couldn't find a forum thread about it, I'll just post about it now to make sure that you're aware of it.

The problem is simply that most non-active castles in the game - but for some reason not all - have lost their names and avatars. This has been the case for weeks now, and it's annoying because it makes it hard for a player to keep track of which castles one has spied on and raided. Names and pictures are more recognizable than just castle numbers.

It looks like this, and as I said it's annoying:

The contact list looks like this:

And here's a screen shot of a few other players confirming that they too have the same problem:

Hi, Lord!

This issue may be caused by internet connection issues. Please, try to use another internet connection, the best solution is using strong wi-fi connection. In most cases, it resolves the issue.

Technically it's possible that if one is on a slow network, the game keeps trying to load certain graphics. But that can surely not be the reason for my problems. My issue isn't temporary but has been going on for weeks, probably since late January, early February. I've used several networks, and my primary network is a fast one. Other aspects of the game, like rendering the map, are as fast as ever and I can't understand how a slow network would lead to most of the castle names to disappear. Also, other players have confirmed they have the same issue. What's notable is that the problem does not concern castles that are part of leagues. If the problem had to do with a slow network, I believe avatars would be slow to load for all kinds of castles, active and non-active alike, and a slow network would still not explain what happened to the names.

I believe the issue started after an update, and it was such a glaring problem that I expected Plarium to notice and fix it right away, but that has not happened in later updates.

It's due to the European laws.. Thanks for that link again :)
So it's not a bug.

I am in North America, when do we get these castle names back?

plus they show as a swirling icon and the avatar never shows up.

Castle names won't be back again due to EU laws.

Its due to weak network that you are seeing swirling icon.
