By now you’ve most likely selected a Hero – now it’s time to equip them!

You’ll receive Equipment Items as spoils of war when Attacking or Defending Battlegrounds. Some pieces of Equipment can be used immediately by your Hero, while others will come locked in Chests, for which you will need the appropriate Chest Keys. Chest Keys are also found at Battlegrounds, however, if you don't want to wait until you get the Key you need, you can always purchase the required Chest Key from the Black Market.

There are three Levels for every Chest: Uncommon, Rare, and Mythical.

However, the quickest way to better equip your Hero is by using Hero Packs. Hero Packs contain a set number of Equipment Chests and their matching Chest Keys. There are four types of Hero Packs that can be obtained from the Black Market:

- Ran's Chest: Improves Infantry Units

- Hildr's Chest: Improves Cavalry and Infantry Units

- Eir's Chest: Improves Occult, Cavalry and Infantry Units

- Weor's Chest: Improves Bestiary, Occult, Cavalry and Infantry Units

Hero Equipment can be upgraded and improved using Shards. You can get Shards by breaking your Hero's Equipment Items. Bear in mind that once broken, Equipment Items cannot be fixed or reassembled – so make your choices carefully.

The higher the Level of your Equipment, the better its effects will be. To compare your currently equipped Item with a second one in your inventory, simply tap on the Item you want to compare and see the differences!
