you can get 5000 saphs on tribute, sieging, offence , defence, etc. weekly . but having a saphmine of 20 ph will bring you 5600 a week so much easier. 2 saphmines of 12 ph also do fine. you dont loose that much army and can stay conveniantly raiding and building while the saphs flow in
2: on PVP look for saphmines of opposit players. you can oftten stinch them to move in lotsa def and then kick their as ses to get nice chheap pvp
3: dont spend real money on pixels on your screen. better spoil it on some loved one.
4: if you play just to buildup your city, you are on the wrong game. this is a game for ppls that like to war abouth, its not simcity.
5: look in the profile to determen if your neighbour is inactibve and when he almost is, well help him a bit by raiding a few more times
6: dont think you have any liberty in this game. Plarium has players with unlimited acces to resources to kick anybody's as s so you are gonna spemnd money.
7 look up subblimation on the internet, so you untherstamnd your s=udden urge to spend money on the game.
1.) Sapphire mines more often than not are too costly to hold against other players. (Especially money players that send 500 of every unit at you simultaneously.) Sure, try to take and keep sapphire mines, but don't blow up your entire defense trying to hold one because then you're mathematically losing more than you're gaining.
2.) This is a good piece of advice. Rather than attack other players' castles that may have a defense bonus of up to +100% (110?) just raid settlements. Doesn't have to be sapphire mines. This way you destroy the most troops possible. Who knows, sometimes you get lucky and catch a ton of offense sitting there by accident. That's how you reap the real points :)
3.) Depends on how you view the game. For some, like myself, this is the only game I play. Instead of buying a console game at $65 a pop every other month, I'll drop the same amount into this game. If it brings you enjoyment, so be it. (That being said, don't mortgage your home so you can become a solo beacon conqueror. If you do, I suggest you call a hotline for gambling addiction.)
4.) Plenty of players just like building up their cities and amassing huge armies, all the while never really warring with other players. Sure, its a war game, but a player can decide for himself how he wants to play.
5.) This is also a good tip, but you failed to elaborate on how players can tell if another castle is inactive. When you press PROFILE on their castle it will show their total points for OFFENSE, DEFENSE, RAID, BATTLEGROUND. If their RAID points are negative, there's an extremely good chance they are no longer active players. Additionally, check the BATTLEGROUND points. If they have hundreds of thousands of battleground points, and that score increases next time you check his or her profile, then odds are they still actively play the game. Always send a handful of spies to any castle you want to raid, even if you think they are inactive. (Don't want to get caught with your pants down.)
6.) That's the purpose of freemium gaming. Everyone can have plenty of fun without spending money, but some do spend money to make the game even more enjoyable. Sure, you can't fight against the level 88 guy who's maxed out his credit card, but those players are the minority. Most players have spent little to no money. Just be wise about who you choose to make your enemy in this game.
7.) You have to stop with this conspiracy stuff. The game isn't slowly transforming your mental approach to spending money on virtual goods. You either have the mindset of "I'll spend some money here and there." or "I'm never spending money on this game." It depends on your personality, and your disposable income.
