Which Suggestions we (do not) accept
Hi!
We receive many questions on why we declined certain Suggestions even if they’re good ones. So I think this post will be useful for everyone who wants to submit a suggestion.
This Forum is the first of three stages player suggestions go through. Stage two is a meeting of Community Managers with game developers, and stage three is the internal discussion within the development teams.
So when it comes to deciding which ones of your suggestions to select, Community Managers stick to certain rules established by the game developers. Here are some of them:
1) Your suggestions must align with our vision of the game. It should come as no surprise that the developers at Plarium have a certain vision of the games they develop. Our games are multiplayer hardcore strategies, and that means that we will not change the war or the economy balance without a good reason. All suggestions concerning Resources/Units/Items/etc., Unit training or Building construction time, and Offense/Defense statistics are usually declined because they will change the game balance in a way that goes against our vision.
2) Your suggestions should not benefit a certain group of players at the expense of another group. We mean both big and small improvements like UX/UI, colors, Item mechanics, etc. If implementing a suggestion may cause a negative reaction among players, it will be declined.
3) Suggestions regarding big new features or major changes to the game. Features that would require creating a new balance; server, client, and UX/UI development; artists’ work, etc. will not be implemented. Our developers have a lot of cool big features in their backlog, but they cannot implement all of them at once. So, unfortunately, we don’t accept such suggestions for now. It is also important to bear in mind that such features require cooperation of several teams and a considerable time commitment, which makes it hard to implement your big ideas.
So which suggestions do we accept?
Everything that will make your gaming experience better and more enjoyable. Feel free to suggest UI improvements and small but cool changes to the existing game features.
