The basic stuff:

Battlegrounds are your way to battle Balur’s forces and restore peace to Stormfall. (They are the creepy little caves/chasms etc scattered around the map near your castle).

There are two main types of battlegrounds:

1. Standard Battlegrounds;

2. Saga Battlegrounds.

Each type has their own system of investment and reward, scaling power requirements, and best practices for beating them.

Each type is also split between Offensive (the red ones ) and Defensive (the green ones ).

The specifics (this is where it gets a little harder):

Saga Battlegrounds are the ones where you get a fixed Reward in the form of troops for every Saga Battleground you beat.

These Battlegrounds give payouts based solely on the Battleground being destroyed. What this means is that you need to destroy the Battleground as fast and as cheaply as possible.

By cheaply I mean with as little troops as possible.

This is best achieved by following these rules:

- use only max level troops (lvl 30 etc);

- activate enhancers if doing multiple Sagas;

- use only one troop type per Saga (eg. just Infantry);

- send just enough troops for the kill, to minimise losses;

- send only Infantry or Cavalry to Sagas.
