That's good, hopefully it will make sense to play the tournament now instead of causing losses for most players.  It's nice to see plarium listening to player feedback :)

Units are still stripped of all their boosts!

Can someone from Plarium please explain to me what the use is to upgrade my units (Lost arts/ranks/ect) while they just get ignored on these type of events? (1.6k i.s.o. 7.2k attack power!)

I get your point but just consider it as a requirement for participating in the tournament. Also, now you get more troops than you lose so why not do it, it's free stuff honestly. And it's very very profitable considering that you can exchange normal troops like dragon, griffins, wyerns into rare troops which use less food and are better in literally everything as compared to normal troops.

So many gamers heard horror stories about how bad this event became shortly after launch, that even now, while rewards compared to greater losses are reasonable considering the quality gains and power loss, it is really extremely hard to get a team together

Perhaps some further improvements might help some??? I personally would welcome about 1.5-2k more Feral Swordsmen in the rewards and a bit less of the Weorian style units
