Lords, you still can sell Items in the way you used to - either for free or by using Boosts.
Equipment Seller Item is just an additional way of selling Hero Equipment. If you don't want to use them, you don't have to :)
Plus, a maximum boost of Class II Equipment cost 705 Sapphires. So, it's quite a good variant to use Item with such Equipment.
Instead of adding unnecessary data clutter by creating instant sell items, just make boosts cheaper. Same result, no added data necessary. Keep it simple to keep the lag down.
My Lord, Item, and Boosts are different things. They have a different principle of work and different balance.Please don't forget that while working on something new devs take into account not only lags, but dozens of other factors as well. You use Boosts not only to speed up Items selling but for many other in-game actions as well. If they decrease price on them, it will influence the balance of other features as well.

As always, thanks for your feedback and post itself! Let's go through each step separately.

And why shouldn't they work on something new? We don't have only one team of devs which is working on everything starting with a new engine and finishing with a bug fix. As I said for many, many times before, we have several teams and each one has their own areas of responsibility.
1. The Team which is working on the new game engine.
They're working on this engine for Sparta now. It means they need to move all Sparta players first, add such big features as Champions, Spirit Wardens, New Tournaments there first to make sure they're free of critical bugs. As you might guess, it's not a fast process at all as many things should be tested.
When they're done with it, they will move to Stormfall.
2. The Team which is working on the implementation of the new features.
Please stop comparing plarium.com and Facebook servers. These are absolutely different platforms. Features that are already added on Facebook more likely will be moved to plarium.com servers, but it doesn't mean all of them will be moved. Some still can remain on FB servers only. When will it be done? I don't know yet. First, devs wanted to start adding new features after moving to a new engine, but now they consider doing it before. I don't have ETA for now :(
3. The Team which is working on Bug fix.
This point is my favorite one :) I understand that from players' side any bug requires a few minutes to be solved, but it's not.
The process is quite long. We report a bug to devs > QA team reproduces it > devs fix the bug > QA team checks it once again > if everything is fine, devs add it to one of the game updates which take place regularly.
Only very critical bugs can be fixed out of order as for it devs need to update servers.
Plus, devs have a classification of bugs started with minor and finishing with critical. So, time of bug fix depends on the influence it has on the gameplay as well.
