I would like to know how is it possible  for a level 4 (abandon village) that I had  did a defend on that I seen I had did it successfully but I noticed it said Balur failed to raid it, Well when I look at what     I had lost I'm overwhelmed, I don't understand I sent offensive troops to defend it,  Was that wrong?   The amount of lost is unreal, It ruins the game because it took almost all of my offensive    members like

1 fallen, 1 hero, 1 Pegasus 9 wymen  100 warlock  29 pathfinder  35 paladin 45 imperial paladin 30 pikemen   45 imperial pikemen

1 renegade 25 necro  45 knights 44 knights

I had this same group attack an win level  21-27   settlements catacombs and orgre's caves with the same group I used  to defend a level 4    abandoned village, How can this be? my army is RUINED!!!!

Is this a way for this site to keep you buying stuff?? if so that's terrible!!!

Greetings m'lady!

You have sent the wrong units to the battleground.

Defense battlegrounds require your assistance. So you should send defensive units to defend against Balur's forces.

Offensive battlegrounds require your troops to attack. So you should send offensive units to attack Balur's forces.

However, sending Legendary Units to a battleground won't help much either. You should only send regular units to battlegrounds.

More information about this is found in the Tutorial section.

Assuming you are/were talking about the "Saga Quest', each of them are roughly FOUR times as strong as the regular BG of the same number.  ( level 4 Saga Quest = level 16 regular BG)    The really sad thing here is you didn't "spy" the BG using ONE minor troop to find out EXACTLY what Balur had there.  Knowing that, you could have known how strong a force you needed to beat him.

From what I could deduce from the responses to your absent post, you did NOTHING right when fighting that particular BG.  In addition to using the wrong troop type (Offense rather than Defense) you threw the wrong mix of troops at it.

I've had a similar problem with lower end BG fights especially in defending. In a level 6D I've sent 2archangels 40 undead dragons and have had 7 dragons die. While at level 4D I've sent 21 golems and 6demons with no deaths. Sometimes you just cant compare apples with oranges

You can avoid disasters by sending 1 unit offensive or defensive to the appropriate battleground (BG). You will then know exactly what awaits you and us your knowledge or one of the many calculators to defeat any BG.

don't use legendary or amulet troops in bg

bg's are based on resources in vs resources out its a waste to use those type of troops

you should also be checking what is in a defense bg with an archer and sending the appropriate unit type
