League Fortress
My Lords and Ladies, if you have not yet built a League Fortress, it is high time you do so!
In this post, we have attempted to describe the feature and the way it works in as much detail as we could. We hope it will be of help to you and your Leagues!
“What is a Fortress?” you’d ask. Well, it is a city that a League can build. It can be founded by League Marshals for free with an option to select its location. The Fortress grants bonuses to the League and its members.
Creating a League Fortress
The option to create a Fortress is only available to League Marshals if the Fortress is not built yet. The Fortress can be built for free.
When creating a Fortress, a League Marshal has to select its location.
The initial choice of a location is only available to League Marshals.
The second choice of the Fortress’ location (Teleportation) is available to League Marshals and those who have Fortress management rights.
Please note that you will need special Teleportation Items to be able to move your League Fortress.
League Fortress’ Purpose
The Fortress provides new opportunities called Fields of Knowledge. They will give bonuses to every League Member. In addition, they will extend your League’s Influence! Every Field of Knowledge can be upgraded to Level 20. Note that Fields of Knowledge are dependent upon the Fortress Level.
For example, your Fortress is upgraded to Level 10, and a Field of Knowledge is Level 10 as well. When the Fortress is downgraded to Level 9, the Knowledge Level will stay the same, but the bonus it gives is going to be Level 9 until the Fortress is upgraded back to Level 10. Mastering the Fields of Knowledge is not determined by the Fortress Level. In other words, even with a Fortress of Level 0 your League can max out the Knowledge. You can master new Levels of the Fields of Knowledge with the help of the Tomes.
Note: Beacons will not be replaced. They will stay in the game along with the Fortresses.
Managing your League Fortress
Once your Marshal has founded a Fortress, your League can start upgrading it. The upgrade progress will be displayed in the “Info” tab of your Fortress as well as all the active bonuses your Units receive from the Fortress. You will be able to change your Fortress’ name there, too. In other words, using this tab, my Lord, you will be able to keep track of all the Fortress affairs. There will also be a “Garrisons” tab where you will be able to see the number of Units defending the Fortress.
To upgrade your Fortress, you will need to go to the “Info” tab. This action can be performed by either the League Marshal or any other League member that has those rights. There are several conditions under which the League Fortress can be upgraded:
Your League has a sufficient amount of Glory Points.
You captured the necessary amount of Beacons, and they are of certain Levels (those amounts will be different for different Levels).
Your League has a certain position in the Rankings.
You have downgraded an enemy League Fortress of a certain Level.
If the League Marshal is changed, the Fortress management rights goes to the new Marshal. The Fortress ceases to exist after the League is dismissed.
If a Fortress is teleported, all Reinforcements sent there will return to the Castles of players that sent them.
League Fortresses can be added to Contacts.
League Fortress Resources
There are two types of Resources: Glory Points and Tomes.
Glory Points are used to upgrade the Fortress. They can be received as Rewards in League Tournaments or purchased with Sapphires. Using Sapphires you can only purchase the amount of Glory Points required to upgrade the Fortress to the next Level.
Tomes are required to upgrade the Fields of Knowledge in the League Fortress. They can be received as Rewards in League Quests or purchased with Sapphires.
Please note that the Points earned in game challenges will go towards the League balance, not personal ones. If a Lord or Lady quits the League, Glory Points and Tomes received by him/her will not be added to his/her balance. They will remain on the League balance.
League Fortress Downgrade
Lords and Ladies, please note that your League Fortress can be downgraded if your rivals successfully attack it. So make sure it is well protected!
If another League successfully attacks your Fortress whilst an upgrade is NOT in progress, your Fortress will be downgraded by one Level, and 50% of the Glory Points spent on the most recent upgrade will be returned to your League.
If another League manages to perform a successful attack on your Fortress whilst it is being upgraded, the upgrade will fail, and your Fortress will be downgraded by one Level. Your League will be reimbursed 75% of the Glory Points spent on the attempted upgrade, as well as a further 50% of the Glory Points spent on the most recent successful upgrade.
The downgrade is impossible when your Fortress is at Level 5 or 8; in other words, once you reach Level 5, your enemies will not be able to downgrade your Fortress below that Level so you do not have to start upgrading it all over again.
Battle interactions
Lords and Ladies may send Private and League Attacks against the League Fortresses of rival Leagues. An Attack is not a Raid or a Siege; it is an assault with the purpose of killing Units. All battle actions work the same way as they do with Hamlets. Attacks and Spying attempts can be launched against a rival Fortress if it is not under protection (after the Fortress was created). Attacks against League Fortresses cannot be sent by Lords or Ladies that are not in a League or by Leagues that have no Fortress. It is important to mention that you will not be able to see the Attacks coming to your League Fortress. You can send Reinforcements to your League Fortress. Units lost in combat are placed in their owners Healer (regular rules apply).

Limits and special features
Each League can only have one Fortress.
Units move to the Fortress at the same speed as they do to Beacons (x24 times faster).
Protection against Attacks lasts for the first 24 hours after its creation. During that time, none of the League members can Attack other Leagues’ Fortresses.
League Fortress gets a 24-hour protection after it was downgraded. Additionally, it cannot be further downgraded for some time. Note: The League Fortress can still be attacked.
Force Limits: Maximum Private Attack - 150,000 Food; Max League Attack – 500,000 Food.
Important! Neophytes will not be able to
visit League Fortresses;
interact with them (attack, spy, send Reinforcements);
take advantage of the League Bonuses.
Neophytes will be able to see the Fortresses on the Map.
Diplomacy
Diplomacy determines interactions with League Fortress in the same way it does with Beacons.
Players in friendly Leagues (Piece status) cannot attack each other’s League Fortresses.
Allies can attack your League Fortress. Attack limits are standard.
Neutral players can attack your League Fortress. Attack limits are standard.
Enemies can attack your League Fortress. Attack limits are standard.
In a Challenge, players of the other League can attack your League Fortress. Attack limits are standard.
During War, players of the other League can attack your League Fortress. No Attack limits.
Lords and Ladies, may the Fortresses bring your Leagues eternal prosperity. Let them be witnesses of your glorious victories!
