Good news about Alt accounts

I gave some info to my VIP with the email of the person stating he had 18 alt accounts, no bog deal right, we know it happens. This person actually named his main account (said who he was) what league etc..

I told my VIP and I have been informed about the limits they have put in place to encourage a player to play a single account and if I am offended by this person I can black list them.

Great news huh, seems as long as you want to work within the limits you are good. They didn't even mention that it was against the rules so have at it everyone or even address the fact the person named themselves.

Oh and Thank you Plarium for not making it easier on multiple accounts which might upset the   "game balance"    this is the magic fix all label

I thought their stance was tough to prove but would handle it if proven.

I recently tried to press the matter. They don't care because "they made limitations" how much you can send resources from one castle to another. End of story, so if you got the time and effort to run 10, 20, 100 accounts, just do it. Force projection and force multiplier is not something they care about.

Hello!

The reply regarding players with the alternative accounts has been given already in this topic: https://plarium.com/forum/en/stormfall-age-of-war/-news-and-announcements/90495_online-chat-with-plarium-s-community-manager--december-21/?post=434336

As for the bots, they're not allowed according to our policy and we're banning them regularly. If you face bot accounts, please report them to our Support team: https://plariumsupport.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

Plus, we're running an automatic check on the servers and ban such accounts according to this check.

So buying of accounts and using multiple accounts is allowed?

I guess I stopped paying attention, Plarium makes it hard to keep up with the we do whatever is in our  (plarium that is) best interest policy.

Was there a time that mulit accounts were not allowed ??

Was there a calculation done and deemed profitable for plarium to allow vs upsetting their customer base? This feels like recalls or disclosure from pharmaceutical companies of death vs cost, buy off a few or disclose to all

Well, in theory they say, you not allowed to share account details, so getting handed down accounts, or buying accounts is not allowed, but they don't do anything about it. Although don't come cry to them about your account been hacked if its a handed down, shared etc, because they don't care.

They claim they are running checks on bots and such, but I doubt that lead to any either. If any credibility worth its salt, they had deleted these from the game to show us they done something about them. Bots reported 2 years ago, still here today, so go figure.

If you got all the time in the world, run as many accounts as you want. Plarium only see "feeding" one castle with other castles as the only problem.

Hello.

Selling/buying of the accounts and using of alternative accounts are different things.

The first one is still not allowed.

As for the alternative accounts, they were prohibited by our Policy before, but after adding a different kind of limits to the game, this part of the Policy was updated.

They don't seem to care much if your account is secure and you get hacked/cracked/hijacked either.  Their point of view on that is if the compromise did not happen on their server, its your fail, not theirs.

Hello.

We make everything possible to avoid security breaches from the server side. But the security of your account also depends on you a lot.

As in the majority of the cases, the accounts are hacked when a player shares the login data with someone else, doesn't update his password regularly or use not strong enough password.

According to our Security Policy:

Please note that the security of your social network account and Plarium.com account is the sole responsibility of you as the account holder, and Plarium claims no responsibility or liability from any losses or damages incurred as a result of compromised login information or third-party security lapses.

I also recommend checking the additional information regarding this question here: https://plariumsupport.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/115002370369-Security-Policy

I find it odd that there are so few options to protect our accounts when you consider how much money some chose to spend on the game.  That's straying a bit off topic though and has already been discussed to death in the multitude of threads mods locked back when account hijackings were the biggest topic on the forum.

Back on topic, the primary issue I see with account selling is that its technically against the rules, but its not enforced.  The multitude of unenforced rules create a very "anything goes" environment when people are violating ToS with seemingly no consequences and those who lose troops due to those violations (purchased hammer accounts smashing beacons being a prime example) having no recourse.  I know its not the easiest thing to enforce, but merely saying its against the rules and doing nothing makes the rules kind of worthless...more of an excuse to deny players recourse than to ensure any standard of fair play.

A lot of games out there have started make us of authenticators, if not mandatory, at least optional. Either with physical authenticators, or authenticator apps. Then account sharing, or taking over an account would be impossible, unless you give someone your authenticator.

From our end, we protect our servers and make everything possible to avoid hacking.

From your end, you can enable two-factor authentication for your email address and it will add a significant Bonus to your account protection.

When we receive reports about the violation of our Policy, we check the reported accounts and take the corresponding measures.

Hello.

There is a VIP program in the game. The main objective of this program is to provide a high-quality dedicated support service.

When it came to selecting participants for the VIP program, multiple factors were taken into consideration, such as the amount of time spent playing the game, how long ago players joined, and their levels of activity in the game.

At the moment we cannot include all the players that meet these requirements as we are still developing this program.

Think she only pointed out for email address, and not all providers does provide a 2 step either. If Plarium could provide a 2 step it would been much better.

I was asking who my VIP is.

But this suggestion has been forwarded to devs already.

Havent Plarium been promothing this mobile application? You could add a feature to it to allow for a optional 2 step authenticator. Wouldn't take that much effort to make happen. A lot of other online games out there offer such.
