Plarium is not going to get rid of that tournament.
Just after I heard about it I did a petition, my petition was shutdown within seconds.

Interesting definition of seconds.
Though you're right, we aren't going to remove this Tournament. It's running not very often now and Leagues have enough time to pick up between the Tournaments.djmoody said:
PS to the OP - yes obvious (to all but Plarium) that it needs to be removed.
But then I remember telling them that before it was even launched (with a lot of other people) .......
Buy hey it lead to more troops deaths and more revivals from coiners, so quick boost to short term profits whilst putting another nail in the long term future of the game.
But it's a good opportunity for non-coiners to win big XP points with minimum effort (loosing just 10%)...So, it's not a tournament only for coiners.
Thanks!

Yes, smaller players can destroy their whole army for big xp gains, then get 90% back when all is said and done. With wisdom and troop xp now, that does allow a player to grow stronger rather than just look a bit scarier. The tournament has been proven harmful to the health of the game. Part of it was the giant hammers using the tournament as a "trap" to draw out player's defense, then smash it before the tournament begins, giving the hammers big points and giving the defenders huge losses with no recourse. They were also using it to smash after the tournament as leagues were trying to restack (with people on at all times of the day, beacons aren't instantly back to full strength after the tournament, allowing the hammers to catch even more lower risk points). Is it any reason the beacon game is so dead?
As much as I like the low risk xp, having dragons 1% stronger is useless if everyone quits due to lack of meaningful content.

The problem is that just getting xp isn't that useful, since you get more xp from doing bgs anyways. If you could get unit xp during beacon massacres then it might be a bit better.
Losing 10% of your army one time might not be a huge deal, but if you do it every few weeks it starts to add up.Yep, sometimes it's dangerous for a game maker to follow player suggestions. Players often think something would be cool, but don't see the damage it can cause to the overall game balance in the long term.Hi!
I don't think this tournament will be removed soon because is very pleased by many players - few months ago they asking for it to be more often...
Best regards and enjoy the game!
Bogdan
This is a rather large insult to the player base. Does the current beacon map reflect the leagues ability to pick up between Tournaments? Reflects very well on the huge ever-growing gap between coiners and the rest. But of course, as said before, players and leagues got a choice if they want to play the beacon game or not right?Oracle said:

What a hell of a comment. Before I wrote that petition I submitted a ticket to support, with permission from other Marshalls. Just after I posted that thread I got a reply from the support team saying they won't be complying with my request. I know that your comment was meant to be inflammatory and to redicule me. But before you go about trying to do that, know that I will not take kindly to being offended and next time I will respond with correct streams offered by my jurisdiction.

Hello, Oracle.
I didn't want to offend you or make my reply inflammatory. You said that your petition was shutdown within the seconds and sent a link to the thread where it was done. But this thread was active for more than a month.
As for the Support team, they don't deal with the petitions or with cases like this. They are working with technical requests and issues.
Regarding the Massacre Event and Beacons in general, no changes are planned in their functionality. The only update that can be done is adding an attack limit to Beacons.
When we as the community see a manager do more or less trolling the players and respond to it with FACTS in regard of the state of the game and certain aspects of it. Reward the player with a ban, such as you just did with DjMoody.
Bad form Plarium, and bad form Alina....
Waging war on your community is a war you will loose.
I don't see how she was trolling. Oracle was certainly exaggerating (if not outright lying) in his comment about the petiton, and all she did was point out that he was incorrect. When we as the community see a manager do more or less trolling the players and respond to it with FACTS in regard of the state of the game and certain aspects of it. This is little more than trolling. What does she put into "pick up between Tournaments" Because I know the time it take between such Tournaments is not enough time to re-coup loss's endured said tournaments without dig into my pockets and fork out money on revive units. So this transfers to little else than "you get ample time to spend more money between tournaments".
Dj's reply was deleted, but it doesn't really change the fact. What this game really need is CM's and Plarium employee''s that take part play the game just as everyone else does, and who have to spend of their own paycheck if they want to spend on it. Maybe create their own Plarium league, or Oberons league or whatever. See how successfull they become by "helping each other and pick up between tournaments".

Hello!
I wasn't trolling in any way and there was no any "secret coiner sense' in my reply.
The fact is that the Tournaments are not running as often as they did in the very beginning. I guess this change wasn't done by devs without any reason. And the frequency of the Tournaments is set according to the data they have from the results of the previous Tournaments and current situation of the map.

You really are something else, especially when you consider that the KoK then Marshall aslo signed the forum petition.
And yes, it was seconds after I posted that thread, when I received a reply from support. Your comment plus that of the cm Is just offensive
Wait so you claim that the petition was deleted within seconds of you posting it, and yet that somehow lots of marshals had time to sign it? Your story seems a bit confused...BiohazarD said:

We can always just play on level 1 beacons :P Or maybe somebody will try to hit one of the last few upgraded beacons on server 1. I assume they have a few billion defense in them, but perhaps one of the big hammers will give it a try.well.. it looks like the beacon massacre has been removed.
by the players. no more beacons on server 2, server 1 is down to like 4.
i dont think the CMs or Devs can say that activity level is high anymore..... there cant be ANY activity with no beacons.
