There's some good news: working hard to solve the problems
There's some bad news too: the real problem is managers and accountants dominating the scene... they fired most competent game developers in-house and are now trying to control a 'cheaper' software contractor, where they have experts in exploiting contract weaknesses... they usually get paid for making mistakes and again for correcting them.... do the contracts include penalties?
Believe me, I worked in large engineering departments for internatinal oil & gas processing industries, and contrators are good to shave peak loads in demand, but for routine... own employees is the way to go
