Annoying Champ UI Update

So I used to use the fact that flipping to the update tab and flicking back to the info tab would reset your champs list to the top.

If you were mid flow of updating champs, you'd already know how many screens to scroll down to, to get to the block of champs that needed rank ups. It was quick and easy. Still a huge grind but bearable.

Since today, the game is now fixated on scrolling the champ list back down to the one you just trained. Not particularly useful if you just ranked it up and want to move as quickly as possible to next champ that needs work.

Any chance of completely reversing this update (the point of which was what exactly? - given the only frequent request about champs was auto rank up which we now know we aren't ever getting)?

At least return the switching from update to info, taking you to the top. Of add a one press button that scrolls you to the top.

Maybe I'll find another quick way to train champs but right now feel like crying, it's so cumbersome it will be utterly soul destroying to do on mass.

Most of the feedback on the Champions recent update I have seen has been positive as many find the change has speeded up the Champion upgrading process.

As always we will take into account all the players comments including this one .

Hello, DJ Moody! I'm sorry you don't like this change. I would like to note that this was a request from our community ๐Ÿ™‚ Though I understand that each player has its own way of upgrading Champions, we won't revert this change. As Wesley wrote, most feedback on the latest update has been positive.

Any other ideas on how we can improve it, though? I've been thinking to ask not to scroll back to the Champion if you're using the Rank filter. In this case, you won't be redirected to the higher-ranked Champions... What do you think about it?

It may be positive but DJ moody raises a valid point - I don't think this is a case of him being unique and individual. Let me explain; He stated that he had to swap between the info tab to upgrade champions quicker. This isn't indicative of a good system, just a way he found to make a system more user friendly. The feedback is positive because most players, and the statement he made supports this, that the previous way was worse, but that doesn't necessarily make this update good, just better than what it was. - This argument is a matter of perspective, but I can see both way and I thought I'd just point out how (I believe) he sees it.

Personally I think it's closer to what it should be - the upgrade window shouldn't follow the champion you just upgraded, it should go back to where it was. The biggest problem is when you have 20, 30, 40, whatever number of 1* or 2*'s needing to be upgraded and everytime you upgrade one it puts you to the next tier. But it's far less time consuming to upgrade 5 3* than 20 2* or 40 1* (as champions become exponentially harder to get to higher ranks).

I'd much rather the window go back to the position I was just at, as its more likely with the multibattle system, that you have a lot of the same ranks upgraded. Then scroll up after that to the next rank, then the next rank. Rather than having to scroll down everytime I upgrade a champion.

You can't do this top-down either, since you need to upgrade lower champions to feed into higher ones first, you cant just upgrade higher champions first.

I will commend the 'sort by rank X' that was added, this does somewhat alleviate this problem although not entirely

As with all updates  some will be very happy and a few will not. We of course take all comments into consideration and Devs fine tune as best they can after considering all factors. Any and all positive solutions are welcome as making the game better is always the goal.

Thank you for your input!

Maybe an optin in opt out toggle that switches where the position from one or the other que after an upgrade has been initiated could be a consideration.

I guess really the only way to really show the frustraing parts of the UI would be to make a video of upgrading champs. As I have never made a video not sure I'll be able to sort that out (cause it would need editing to make sense).

But I'll explain it in words:

If you are upgrading champs that you have just got out of a hunt.

- order the champs by level and the ones that need upgrading will all be right next to eachother, easy to find

- now with the champ screen scrolling back to the thing you have just ranked the screen is scrolling miles down the list to lvl's ones

- for me it takes about 6/7 screens of scrolling to get back to the next champs to lvl

when the whole process is already tedious grind, making it inefficient and fiddly is super annoying and frustraing.... and over time will waste many many hours of time.

Not only that, scrolling up is quite difficult. It's a smaller and smaller area of the screen you have to hit to scroll up (because by the time you get back to the champs that are upgradable you are really near the top of the list)
